Emmy's

Day Time Emmy's

So as you all know the Emmy's were held last week, well I went through my favourite looks of the night to give you guy's my best dressed.

To start off my favourite looks of the night is the fabulous, Giuliana Rancic. The Fashion Police co-host wowed in this incredible, daring red Gustavo Cadile gown. She accessorized with a Rauwolf clutch.

Alisson Williams looked elegant  in her dramatic Giambattista Valli couture gown that featured a full tulle skirt and a pink and black printed top, with a pop of colour on the lemon yellow sash.

It's no wonder Sofia Vergara made best dressed lists when superstar stylist and one of my style icons, Rachel Zoe was on hand. Sophia looked jaw droppingly gorgeous and sexy in this incredible Roberto Cavalli gown.

Big Bang star, Melissa Raunch looked stunning in this blue Pamela Roland gown. She accessorized with a Judith Leiber clutch, a Sutra ring and earrings and Stuart Weitzman shoes.

Aaron Paul and wife Lauren Parsekian were definitely my favourite couple hands down. Aaron looked super handsome and Lauren looked angelic in this amazing white Lorena Sarbo gown.

Hayden proved just because you're pregnant doesn't mean you can't be glamorous in this stunning sequined Lorena Sarbu gown with a plunging neckline.

Kate Mara looked edgy in this white J Mendel gown with an embroidered neckline and cut-outs at the waist. The dress also featured an asymmetrical thigh high slit on one side. She paired her gown with beige, black and white platform sandals and a black and white clutch.

Halle Berry managed to look ethereal and sexy at the same time in this Elie Saab gown. The lilac coloured, flowing halter gown had a slit almost to the hip. It really broke up the fabric to show how the gown really flowed.

Lizzie Caplan looked amazing in this dramatic black and white Donna Karan Atelier gown. She looked sleek and sophisticated with a hint of sexy, and accessorized with Neil Lane jewels, a Judieth Lieber clutch and Brian Atwood shoes.

Natalie Dormer from Game Of Thrones looked glamorous in this fitted J. Mendel gown which featured an orange bodice and a fishtail fitted black skirt. She paired the gown with Sophia Webster heels and a Jill Haber clutch.

Keke Palmer was bold in a cobalt blue trumpet gown and wow did she look good! Rubin Singer created this masterpiece and Keke accessorized with Chopard jewels, a Swarovski clutch and Jimmy Choo shoes.

The last of the lovely ladies is the gorgeous Sarah Hyland. I LOVED this look on Sarah because I really love her style but she normally dresses older than she is but this look is young and fun so it was nice to see her change it up a bit. The Modern Family star wore this stunning Christian Siriano long coral skirt and white crop top, the coral colour looked incredible on her and some say she has never looked better!

That's all for today guys, I hope you enjoyed today's blog!

Fragrance Friday

Fragrance Friday

This week's Fragrance Friday is Katy Perry's Royal Revolution. I tried this from my friend and I have to say I will definitely be going out and buying a bottle now! This was Katy's third fragrance and she is definitely improving. This scent has a floral smell and a hint of fruity (can you tell I love floral and fruity fragrances?)
I seriously can't wait to buy this perfume,I didn't find it too overwhelming and it was nice and sweet without being sickly.

I would rate this 4/5 because I love the smell of it and am obsessed but the lasting power of it didn't seem to be that great, it would last a while but not much longer than a couple of hours.

You can purchase Katy Perry Royal Revolution here:

I hope you enjoyed this week's Fragrance Friday!

MTV VMA's

MTV Video Music Award's

So as you guys all probably know the MTV Video Music Awards's was on at the weekend, well I went through all the stars and picked my favourite looks of the night.

To start off my favourite looks, we have Katherine McNamara. I love this look because it's young and fun just like Katherine. She is wearing thus Wilcox Sleeveless A-line Alice and Olivia mini dress and Kellerhal heels from ALDO.

Awkward star, Ashley Rickards looked stylish and sophisticated in this blue Stella and Jamie lace Versailles dress and accessorized with a black TACORI cuff.

Nicki Minaj looked absolutely stunning when she strutted her stuff on the red carpet at the MTV VMA's. She donned a tight snake inspired print dress and nude pumps.

I am not going to lie I never thought that I would be putting Kesha on any best dressed lists but she has really been killing it lately! Kesha seriously looks so amazing and put together on her appearances that I am loving the new Kesha. To the VMA's she wore this stunning sequined v neck draped dress by Johanna Johnson. She honestly looks so elegant and her rainbow coloured hair actually works with making the look less serious and more fun.

Demi was definitely one of my top favourite looks. Seriously, she looks INCREDIBLE! The "Really Don't Care" singer stepped out in this amazing low cut Lanvin dress with a very high slit.

Jordin Sparks and boyfriend Jason Derulo looked smoking hot in matching white outfits. Jordin rocked a tight fighting low cut white Simply Intricate dress and matching Stuart Weitzman nudist strappy sandals. While Jason donned a white suit with silver chains and matching shoes.

Another look that I loved was the cutie that is Holland Roden. She looked like a fun angel in this crisp white A-line Milly dress with net overlay on the skirt and neckline. She accessorized with silver Rupert Sanderson pumps and a Tacori necklace.

It's time to take a moment to worship the icon that is J-Lo. I feel like I should be bowing down at this dress it is honestly so amazing and no one other than J-Lo could wear this. She showed up in this incredible, jaw dropping dress by Charbel Zoe. The way the sparkles looked in the light she was glowing. All hail Jennifer Lopez!

My last favourite look of the night is another couple, it's also my favourite couple look. Nick Jonas and girlfriend Olivia Culpo, to me, were the ultimate red carpet couple of the night. I feel like when everyone saw them the girls wanted to be her and be with him. The former Miss Universe wore a black and white low cut dress. Nick wore a Vivienne Westwood black and blue tux.

That's my breakdown of the Video Music Award's red carpet. I hope you enjoyed today's blog! Be sure to stay tuned for my favourite looks from the Emmy's.

What I Wore Wednesday

What I Wore Wednesday

So with everyone doing their debs the past week it has made me a little nostalgic about my own debs last year.  For my debs I wore a crisp white limited edition Sherri Hill gown which I got in Elliott Chambers in Dublin. I honestly loved this shop the women were so lovely and it has an amazing selection of dresses, they will also do the fittings for you.

I loved my debs dress so much and I felt unbelievable in it, a few of my friends actually said that they wish they had found that dress first. In all the group shots the white even stood out. There honestly was not one part of the dress I didn't absolutely love. My clutch was a diamonte clutch which I also got in Elliott Chambers.

I hope you enjoyed this week's What I Wore Wednesday!

Beauty Buy Of The Week

Beauty Buy of The Week

This week's Beauty Buy Of The Week is Lancome's Photogenic Lumessence foundation. I used to steal this from my mum all the time whenever I went out that eventually she got fed up so bought me my own bottle. I love this foundation because at the end of a night out all my friends foundation would be completely off their face but when I wore this mine was still perfect!

I seriously love this foundation so much, because it's expensive I would only use it if I was going on a night out but I am obsessed and all my friends are so jealous that make up will still look the exact same after a night of dancing. I found Lancome's Photogenic Lumessence great because it doesn't feel heavy or look it or like I am wearing any and it doesn't look cakey at all, although I've never left it for 24hours I'm pretty sure it would stay because whenever I return from a night out it's a real job trying to get off! Plus my skin feels silky smooth!

That's it folks, hope you enjoyed today's blog!

Tan Tuesday

Tan Tuesday

Today's Tan Tuesday is Piz Buin Self Tanning lotion and colour dial. I used to use this products years ago because I liked the idea of adjusting the dial to suit my skin tone. I saw the tan develop quite quickly after about two hours although it was much better the next day. I always liked my tan because you always got a really nice and natural colour and I found that I never looked orange.

I would rate this tan at 3.9/5 because I did really like the tan itself, that to me deserves 5/5 but I remember being sticky for a good while after and now that I have discovered tans that don't smell like tan I can't stand the smell of fake tan

You can purchase Piz Buin Self Tanning Lotion and Colour Dial here:

I hope you enjoyed today's Tan Tuesday!

August Glossybox

August Glossybox

Last week I received my August Glossybox and I have to say after last month's box I have literally been counting down the days till this month's box arrived! So far I am loving what was in and a couple things I wouldn't have even thought of buying before. This month they're celebrating their third anniversary by giving the traditional Glossybox a subtle make over. You also got a sixth product to celebrate.

Figs and Rouge Mini Hand Cream

So this was the first item that I tried in this month's Glossybox, I seriously love hand creams so I was really excited about this product because I haven't tried Figs and Rouge before. I received the Rose Berry hand cream and I have to say I am obsessed with the smell it's so nice but not overpowering, it actually reminds me of the candy hearts sweets. I will definitely be buying this because it's nice and affordable at 5.14 euro. The cream absorbs straight into the skin and they felt super soft without feeling greasy which some hand creams do. Plus what I love about this product is it's the perfect size to take on the go (this is a sample size.) You can purchase the Figs and Rouge Rose Berry hand cream here:

All That Jazz Cuticle Balm

Next item I tried was All That Jazz Cuticle Balm which was chocolate orange flavoured. I was really excited because when I was in college we used cuticle oils and balms but since I left I haven't used any and I think when you start using a cuticle balm or oil you do notice the difference. My hands are so dry naturally and especially with Winter coming I now don't have to worry. I loved the smell of the balm and I found it great because it didn't make my nail beds feel oily but it did sink into the cuticle and left them feeling soft. So the cuticle balm costs £11.99 and comes in three scents, I probably will purchase it because it's a nice size and isn't overly expensive. You can purchase All That Jazz Cuticle Balm here:

Skin Pep Hydra Sun Defence

Another product was Skin Pep Hydra Sun Defence SPF 30 day cream. This product would have been handier had it come in May or June when we had all the hot weather so I can't really say if the sunscreen part is working because Ireland is having really dull weather with no sun at all. I did like the feeling on my skin though, it felt moisturized but not greasy and it matches into your skin tone. The 7ml tube which we got in the Glossybox costs £5.99 and a 70ml tube costs £34.99. You can purchase the Hydra Sun Defence day cream here:

Essence I Love Extreme Crazy Volume Mascara

I was really pleasantly surprised with the Essence I Love Extreme Crazy Volume mascara, it costs £2.79 and I think for the price you can't actually go wrong. I found it gave me voluminous lashes and I could apply multiple coats without it clumping. The brush made it kind of awkward and messy but once you clean it up it's fine. I will probably buy this product again. You can purchase Essence I Love Extreme Crazy Volume mascara here:

Kryolan For Glossybox Highlighter

This product was probably my favourite. The highlighter is a cashmere colour, it looks very neutral like it would go with most skin tones. I was impressed that the tub is filled to the brim with the highlighting cream because most highlighters I have bought have been half empty so I felt like you really get a bang for your buck (I think that's the phrase anyway.) Even the tub is adorable and it has the Glossybox logo. It was tough to photograph but in person it is so gorgeous, it's really subtle but has a slight gold shine to it and I would definitely purchase this product but I think it's only for Glossybox.

Philip Kingsley Elasticiser

This pre-shampoo treatment was a guarantee in every Glossybox and I've been wanting to try it for a while so I was excited when I found out I was definitely getting it. I had never used a pre-shampoo treatment where you need your hair to be wet first so I was intrigued. I suffer from really dry thick hair so my hair normally feels like straw and I found that my hair felt silky smooth which was amazing. I am definitely going to buy again and apply once a week, it is honestly like having a new head of hair. I even got my mum to try which I soon regretted because she wants me to buy it just so she can steal it! I'm hoping that when I do buy it, it will last a while because it is the more expensive product in this month's Glossybox at £38 or 35.75 euro. You can purchase Philip Kingsley Elasticiser here:

If you want to subscribe to Glossybox you can do so here:

And there you have it folks, we have finished the August Glossybox. Is it time for next months box yet?? I hope you enjoyed today's blog!
