What I Wore Wednesday

What I Wore Wednesday

For this week's What I Wore Wednesday, I thought I would show you guys a haul. I went shopping in Dundrum Shopping Centre a couple of weeks ago and I just wanted to get a few things to update my wardrobe for college and for Autumn/ Winter. I have to say the last couple of years I haven't been a huge fan of the styles that were coming out but I am extremely excited with the fashion for this season! Also ignore the little cameo Harley made in a few of the photos!

River Island

I got this amazing cape cardigan from River Island, I think this cost either 35 or 40 euro.

Penney's/ Primark

I got another cape from Penney's this one was reversible though so I can decide between black with grey or grey with black. It's super thick and cosy for Winter, plus it only cost 13 euro!

Penney's version of Timberlands are super cute and only cost 15 euro.

I got two long sleeved t shirts which cost 4 euro each. One was this deep army green colour and another was just a plain white one.

I also purchased a pair of high waisted blue skinny jeans. They had cut outs at the knees and are made of a super comfy material, I think these jeans cost 12 euro.

Primark had this gorgeous deep purple sleeveless high low turtleneck top which I just had to have. I believe this top cost 12 euro also and is also available in navy.

Lastly, I got two more pairs of skinny jeans from Penney's/ Primark. The first pair were a dark green colour, like the top I had bought and the other were a grey colour. The grey featured cut outs at the knee unlike the green, these jeans cost 8 euro each.

So there you have it folks, that's my little haul. I hope you enjoyed today's blog!

Manicure Monday

Manicure Monday

For this week's Manicure Monday I chose to use "Midnight Taupe" by Maybelline Colour Show.

Method:
1. File nails so they're all even and there is no hangnails.
2. Apply base coat to prevent discolouring my nails.
3. Once the base coat is dry, apply first layer of polish
4.Once the first coat of polish dries add a second coat.
5. Finally, once the second coat of nail polish is dry you apply a top coat.

That's it for this week's Manicure Monday, I hope you enjoyed today's blog!

Celebrity Style Sunday

Celebrity Style Sunday

This week's Celebrity Style is dedicated to my favourite looks from the red carpet at the Emmy's.

To kick off my list is the lovely Lena Headey. The Game of Thrones actress wowed in a Zuhair Murad garnet coloured halter neck gown, which featured a plunging neckline silk tulle with crystal beading. Can we also point out she just had a baby in July!!

Another beauty who rocked the red carpet was Clare Danes. She stunned in this mauve sequined Prada gown whiich featured thick chain straps on her shoulders and bust.

After the Jane The Virgin finale I really needed another dose of Gina Rodriguez and she did not disappoint me on the red carpet! She looked beautiful in this ethereal strapless gown. She glowed in this beaded off white Lorena Sarbu gown studded which featured feathers and a gossamer train.

Is there a red carpet out there that Laverne Cox can't rock?! Laverne oozed sexiness when she showed up to the Emmy's in a skin tight teal Calvin Klein gown which featured cut outs.

Another look I loved from the red carpet was the always gorgeous Sarah Hyland. The Modern Family actress looked unbelievable in this wine coloured Zac Posen gown, the deep shade looked beautiful on her and the tight fit emphazied her petite frame, LOVED IT!

Emma Roberts was another lady who chose to g down the ethereal route on the red carpet. She donned this classic and beautiful off white Jenny Packham gown which featured a plunging neckline. This look just screamed old Hollywood glam and I adored it!

Julie Bowen showed the red carpet that you can still look unbelievable in your 40's. She gave me ultimate body envy when she wowed in this skin tight, off the shoulder black mermaid gown by Georges Chakra.

Aubrey Plaza is another lovely lady who stunned in black. She wore this simple yet sophisticated silhouette which featured a thigh high slit and a plunging neckline by Alexandre Vauthier.

Ariel Winter was another score on the red carpet for the Modern Family team. She glowed in this stunning strapless red asymmetrical Romona Kevesa gown.

That's it for this week's Celebrity Style Sunday, I hope you enjoyed today's blog!

Beauty Thursday

Beauty Thursday

For this week's Beauty Thursday, I thought I would do a recent empties post. These are all items that have been used up since the last post which was way back in June, I prefer to space these posts out so that way I have a good few things that I get to show you and talk about instead of just doing a couple of items here and there.

First off I finished two eye liners, they were my Benefit They're Real Push Up liner and an Essence liquid liner. I absolutely adored my They're Real liner so I am definitely repurchasing that soon and I also really loved the Essence one too so I will probably buy that one again as well (I threw it out before I could take a photo,) I just want to get through some other liquid liners that I own before repurchasing that one.

Another item I have finished with, well it's not an empty but it has passed its usability at this stage is my Real Techniques miracle complexion sponge. I have gotten as long as I could out of it so I'm pretty impressed with it. This item I am definitely repurchasing the next time I'm in Boots, I was just on Cloud10 Beauty's site and they had a Blank Canvas one on sale which I have decided to try out so I'm not in a huge hurry to get another Real Technique's one until I see how the Blank Canvas one goes but either way I will be repurchasing at some point.

I also finished my Dr Bronner magic soap in "Hemp and Tea Tree." I mainly used this to clean my make up brushes and also use as hand soap sometimes. I LOVE the way it cleans my brushes and am so relieved that I have half of another massive bottle and another smaller bottle left, otherwise I would definitely repurchase!

I finished one bottle of Cocoa Brown Gentle Bronze. After coming home from holidays I wanted to keep my tan for as long as possible so I began using this bad boy. Oh my goodness I'm in love, it's perfect if you are looking for that nice build-able Summer glow. I will for sure be using it again from next Spring onwards.

A few month's ago I received a Kueshi anti cellulite bootster lotion in a Glossybox and I managed to finish it this month. Although I really liked it, it felt nice on my skin and smelled amazing, I'm not sure what effect it had on the whole anti cellulite side of things. If I see it in a shop I might pick it up again but I wouldn't run out to the shop to buy it or put it on a list to remember to get.

The last thing I finished up recently was my Redken clear moisture shampoo. I was recommended this shampoo when I got my prebonds in and I absolutely love it. I have thick dry hair anyway and when I started using this after getting the bonds in, my hair doesn't feel as dry anymore. When I went back to get my hair done before my holidays I repurchased it because I was running low.

That's it for this week's Beauty Thursday, I hope you enjoyed today's blog!

What I Wore Wednesday

What I Wore Wednesday

This week's What I Wore Wednesday is from a recent night out with my friends. I wore this little black dress from River Island and my black wedges from Korky's. I have had my for four years and it really goes to show when you buy timeless pieces like an LBD, and take care of them you can continue to wear them for years to come.

That's it for this week's What I Wore Wednesday, I hope you enjoyed today's blog!

2. Apply base coat to prevent discolouring my nails.
3. Once the base coat is dry, apply first layer of polish
4.Once the first coat of polish dries add a second coat.
5. Finally, once the second coat of nail polish is dry you apply a top coat.

Celebrity Style Sunday

Celebrity Style Sunday

This week's Celebrity Style Sunday is dedicated the the beautiful Pippa O' Connor. The woman is a mogul wearing many different hats; the model, blogger, columnist, TV personality and mother extraordinaire. If you want to check out Pippa's blog, you can do so here:

To kick off Pippa's Style Sunday, I chose Pippa's VIP Style Awards look from April. She looked fabulous in this Alice + Olivia dress which she got from Harvey Nichols and she paired the look with Jimmy Choo "Lance" heels in champagne.

The end of July, Pippa had a weekend getaway to Edinburgh with her handsome hubby. While out shopping she wore this chic yet casual outfit, Pippa wore a top and jeans were both from Penney's/ Primark, brown suede lace up block heels from River Island. She accessorized with a Louis Vuitton handbag and sunglasses from Betty & Biddy. Pippa's jean will still be available in Penney's/ Primark.

The Irish model wowed the 2014 VIP Style Awards in this stunning strapless gown from The Ivory Closet. The Ivory Closet have a similar gown available here:

In August, Pippa was the host and judge of the RDS Best Dressed Ladies Day. She looked glamorous as usual wearing a navy Karen Millen dress with matching court heels and clutch. She accessorized the look with a hat by Jennifer Wrynne. You can purchase Pippa's dress here:

The fashion blogger looking classy and elegant while attending the Irish Autism Action Ball back in April 2014. She donned this beautiful strapless cream peplum dress from The Ivory Closet.

Pippa proved on a date night in July she can even rock edgy! She ruled Dublin in a top from Urban Outfitters, a sleeveless leather jacket from Boohoo and skinny jeans from River Island. You can purchase Pippa's super skinny ripped Amelie jeans from River Island here:

In August 2015, Pippa donned casual chic at another one of her Pippa Fashion Factory events, this was held at the G Hotel. Pippa wore all River Island in her top, skirt and boots. You can purchase her Limited Edition boots from River Island here:

In December 2014, Pippa and her husband Brian hosted The Snowflake Ball at The Shelbourne Hotel. She looked beautifully festive in this Alex Perry dress from The Ivory Closet.

Last month, Pippa was at her Fashion Factory in Killarney looking as fabulous as always. She wore a River Island Baroque patterned skirt and a sleeveless top also from River Island, and she paired the look with her Office nude lace up heels. You can purchase Pippa's heels here:

Back in July, Pippa celebrated the relaunch of her website Pippa.ie with a fabulous party. She looked stunning in this gorgeous white and tan piece from Self Portrait which she got in Cari's Closet.

Lastly my all time favourite Pippa O' Connor look has got to be her wedding dress from back when she married her husband Brian Osmond back in 2011. Pippa radiated in this Monique Lhuillier wedding gown which featured a fitted waist and a sweet hear neckline.

So that's it for this week's Celebrity Style Sunday, I hope you enjoyed today's blog!

Beauty Thursday

Beauty Thursday

Recently I went to Tenerife for a week with one of my friends so I thought for this week's Beauty Thursday I would show you what I brought with me in my holiday make up bag.

I brought my Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara, this has definitely became one of my favourite mascaras so I had to bring it. In fact, most evenings I just ended up filling in my brows and applying my mascara.

I didn't bring all of my Miceller water from Garnier, but I did pour some into one of the travel containers and brought that with me.

I wore my Inglot HD foundation on the plane over and back as I wanted a long lasting full coverage foundation for the long days. I also applied a thin layer while I was on holidays some nights just to give myself a nice cover for the evenings I wanted to wear foundation.

This MeMeMe Lip Glide pencil in "Playful Peach" was a great Summer colour which I brought and it looked super pretty along with being long lasting.

I also brought along my Urban Decay Naked palette. Palette's are great because you can make a lot of different looks with them and the Naked one is great for being neutral.

I also brought my Inglot HD powder, instead of bringing the whole pot I poured some into a 50ml travel tub.

My W7 Hollywood Bronze and Glow made it along to the trip, however I ended up only using the highlight part.

Lastly, I brought my MeMeMe pencil eyeliner in "clay." I use this to fill in my brows as it matches my colour and most brow pencils pull red.

That's it for this week's Beauty Thursday, I hope you enjoyed today's blog!
