Celebrity Style Sunday

Celebrity Style Sunday

So for this week's Celebrity Style Sunday I thought I would continue the whole birthday thing and dedicate this week's post to Vanessa White from the Saturday's. This beauty is turning 27 today so I thought I would show you guys how to recreate her style, happy birthday Vanessa!

In November last year, Vanessa went for a chic black look on stage. She looked stunning in this House of CB Donatella dress which you can purchase here:

Back in March the singer looked sleek at the #VAMUndressed private viewing in London. She wore a pair of Christian Louboutin's, an Emilio De La Morena top, and a John Rocha maxi skirt.

In October 2013, The Saturday's singer arrived at Radio 1. She wore a Topshop long sleeve spot shirt and a Petite shiny vinyl pencil skirt also from Topshop. She paired the look with Kurt Geiger Ellen court shoes. You can purchase a similar skirt from Vila here:

At the start of June, Vanessa posted this smokin' photo to Instagram. She wore this patterned trousers from ASOS and a black Yves Saint Laurent classic monogram satchel.

Can we all appreciate how stunning this photo Vanessa posted to her Instagram is?! She wore a pair of Puma trinomic blaze winterized trainers and this colourful AnZ Clothing skirt. You can purchase the same trainers as Vanessa here:

In July 2013, Vanessa performed on Lorraine with her fellow The Saturday band members. She wore this Contrast shirt dress from Topshop.
The following month, Vanessa rocked the red carpet of the "We're The Millers" premiere. She wore a French Connection Hatched horse classic shirt, a Halston Heritage leather pencil skirt and a pair of Kurt Geiger Gogo pumps. You can purchase a similar pair of shoes from Korky's here:

Last year, Vanessa looked fabulous while at the Versace show during London Fashion week. She wore this gorgeous Versace black dress.

In June 2013, Vanessa looked cool and casual while leaving the ITV Studios. She wore a Topshop 1995 crop tshirt, Urban Outfitter pants and a pair of Kurt Geiger Elliot pumps in red suede and a Yves Saint Laurent Cabas chyc tote bag. You can purchase a similar pair of trousers from Boohoo here:

In February 2015, Vanessa oozed elegance at Julian MacDonald's show. She of course was kitted out in an all Julian MacDonald ensemble.

The last look for this week's post and my personal favourite is from June 2015 when Vanessa looked incredible in white. She wore this stunning white strapless Jarlo London gown which featured a plunging neckline.

So that's it for this week's Celebrity Style Sunday, I hope you enjoyed today's blog!

Beauty Thursday

Beauty Thursday

For this week's Beauty Thursday I thought I would do a bit of a different post, with all the new products that have come out lately I have picked the five products which I am dying to try. I read so many reviews on so many products when they come out and even after, not just blogger reviews but normal customer ones too when deciding what I will buy when I have the money to spend it, so I thought each month or even every second month I would pick 5 products which I am absolutely dying to try and let you know why and then whenever I eventually get to pick them up I can update you on how I got on!

Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics Palette

The first item I absolutely dying to try is the new Basics palette from Urban Decay. To be honest my first response when Urban Decay release new products is normally "Ohh I want" and then whenever it is Naked related it becomes an "Oh my days I NEED!" As you most likely know for each Naked palette they've released, Urban Decay have then gone and released a Basics palette which is a smaller and cheaper version with the most important shadows from their originals to create a look, this new ultimate palette saves you buying all three basics and as result gives you the same shadows as a big full sized bad boy Naked palette. This palette has 12 matte shades so you can make a pinky look, a neutrals or a warm tone look with this palette, they really listened to what the customer wanted and that is why I love Urban Decay. I believe this will be selling for €47, I've seen so many beautiful tutorials using this palette and all the images of swatches look incredible I'm so, so excited to try it!

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick

The second product which is one my "Must Try" list is the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick. I'm dying to try loads of the shades but I feel like the infamous "Lolita" is a must. I know what you are thinking Kat Von D aren't new, well my dear readers they're new to Ireland and we can now purchase the Kat Von D line either in Debenhams stores or online. I have been wanting to get my hands on these liquid lipsticks since I saw my first lip swatch video of them on ShaaanXo. I do plan on collecting a good few of the shades over time but I think if I can get my hands on one to begin with I will be doing well. So many people adore these liquid lipsticks the colour range is so, so vast and the pigmentation is excellent so they definitely deserve a place on the list.

James Read Express Bronzing Mousse

A few month's ago, Pippa O' Connor was talking about what tan she uses and it was this James Read Express Bronzing mousse worth €40. Pippa always has such a gorgeous tan, she manages to look dark but never look orange and from the reviews I have read online others have gotten the same results so I want to see if I will love it too. At the time Pippa had applied it before bed and had let it develop overnight but if you're in a hurry the tan claims that leaving it on for 1 hour will leave you with a light glow, 2 hours gives you a medium looking tan and then 3 hours gives you a deeper shade but it stops developing after the 3 hours so if you do leave it overnight you won't wake up an oompa loompa. I will say that if you do try the tan definitely use a mitt as some people have trouble with getting it even during the application process but I usually tend to use a mitt anyway.

Make Up Academy Luxe Power Brow Sculpt

Another product which I really want to try is this Luxe Brow Sculpting gel that costs £4. I've seen some good reviews for this product and it looks like a nice cheaper alternative to the Anastasia Beverly Hills dip-brow. It comes in a range of 6 shades and I know the Anastasia dip brow and products like it dry out quite quickly because of the formula in it so you wouldn't be as annoyed when it dries out if you only spent £4 and I think it would be an interesting product to try.

Lancome Grandoise Eye Liner

The last item for this post in which I am dying to try is the Lancome Grandoise liner. I think I first saw Hannah Renee talking about this and have seen a lot of reviews about it since. First off the packaging is beautiful and it comes in a range of three colours; black, blue and brown costing €29. Due to the pivot of the wand, it is supposedly easier to get closer to the lash line and the inner corner as well as being better to get the perfect flick. It also looks quite pigmented from what I've seen in the tutorials and reviews.

So that's it for this week's Beauty Thursday, I hope you enjoyed today's blog! Let me know what products you guys want to try most!

What I Wore Wednesday

What I Wore Wednesday

For this week's What I Wore Wednesday I thought I would do my high heel collection. I own a ridiculous amount of shoes and generally stick to the same few pairs so I'm hoping that by doing this post I will make myself wear the other pairs!

So these two pairs should look very familiar as they've been featured in several "What I Wore" posts. The black boots are my River Island Chelsea ankle boots and the brown shoes are the Luxe Lace Up shoes from Oasis. Usually if I'm wearing either of these it's because I don't feel like wearing heels that night and these are super comfy. The boots go great with jeans or skirt and tights and the Luxe shoes go with almost anything! They both go great with day or night events.

What I have discovered from writing this post is I own black shoes or I own nude. Apparently I don't branch out much with colour when it comes to heels, the two heels in the middle I bought years ago when super high heels were "all the rage" and I have thrown out the other pairs from that era. In all honesty, the plain black ones from Penney's I've worn probably twice and those black and silver ones from Red Herring still have the tags on them. Yes, I bought them four years ago and I still haven't worn them *sigh* The black lace up booties on the left from New Look have also been featured in a few "What I Wore" posts (inside secret of a fashion fiend they're comfortable once you apply a plaster to each of your baby toes, if not you will cut your toes to pieces.) I wear these booties regularly on nights out (plasters included) with jeans, skirts, dresses they go with most outfits hence why I wear them so much and they're quite comfortable to wear for the night. The last black pair on the right are from Korky's and I bought last month and I'm planning on wearing them soon, I just haven't been in a heel mood since I bought them so hopefully they might be worn on Halloween. Although I've only tried them on these are ridiculously comfortable and will go great with most outfits!

These shoes are what I consider my "work" shoes. Those silver kitten heels are from New Look and I've had for about 8 years, I wore them when I was a bridesmaid for my aunt's wedding, I also wore them to a Debs a few years ago as they were so low and comfortable, I was one of the few still wearing my shoes at 5 o'clock the next morning. The  other three pairs I wear to either weddings or events as they're quite comfortable and I can last all day in them. The first nude pair on the left are from Marks and Spencers and I bought them last year they go with most outfits so they're pretty reliable on both fronts. The other nude pair which have the t-strap are from Debenhams, they go with less options than they other nude pair but they're just as comfortable and I feel more secure being strapped into my shoes so I probably wear them more than the other pair. The final pair are black court shoes from Penney's they're less comfortable than the two nude pairs but I needed a plain black pair and these are the nicest and comfiest I could find.

These final two pairs are my babies, they're both from Korky's and they're both so so pretty. I needed the nude strappy heels to go with my dress for my 21st birthday party and while I tried them on the black pair were just so pretty and I would be able to wear them with more outfits than I could the nude so I bought them both. These shoes are so fabulous and look so similar to ones you see the Kardashian's in all the time and they go great with absolutely anything! My one recommendation is bring flats for the end of the night as I do need my flats to walk back to the taxi rank.

So that's it for my What I Wore Wednesday, I hope you enjoyed something a bit different!

Beauty Thursday

Beauty Thursday

This week's Beauty Thursday is dedicated to my review of the October Glossybox. So after last month's wonderful box my hopes for Glossybox had returned and the fact that Youtuber Estee Lalonde helped pick out this box I was really excited however, I have to admit I was a little disappointed. To be honest, if the November and December boxes are disappointing I will probably be cancelling my subscription after that.

Trifle Cosmetics Lip Parfait

So the first product this month was this full size buttery lip cream worth £12.95. Okay so the feeling of the lipstick is nice it's super soft and glides onto the lips really easy however, the peachy nude shade looks absolutely ridiculous on me and to be honest I would be intrigued to find out if it was flattering on anyone.

PS Pro Longwear Lip Liner

This next product was probably my favourite this month and it was another full size worth £3. The felt tip style is a new thing for me when it comes to lip liners but it worked well. It was pigmented and lasted a long time. The photos make it appear more brown but it's more of a mauve purple colour in real life and it's quite pretty.

Bee Good Honey & Camelina Facial Exfoliator

Next up is exfoliator mask which is also a full size worth £10.50. I think it was a nice and gentle exfoliator on my skin however, I couldn't get passed the smell of lavender in fact when I opened the box I could smell the lavender it was that overwhelming.

New Beauty Shampoo

We also received this sample size of a mystery shampoo. I really liked the smell of this it was sweet and fruity, possibly mango but I'm not entirely sure.

Rituals Magic Touch Body Cream

Next up, I tried this sample size cream worth £6. So I did quite like this cream it was rich and nourishing on my dry skin and my sensitive skin didn't react to it. Honestly it smells just like the Astral cream.

Universal Beauty Secret Flush Cream Blush & Lip Stain Duo

The last product we received this month was this duo in the shade "04 Nectar." This full size product is worth £15 and the pinky shade was pretty but I'm just not a fan of these duo products I have so many of these from previous subscription boxes and I just never use them.

If you want to subscribe to Glossybox, you can do so here:

So that's it for this week's Beauty Thursday, I hope you enjoyed today's blog!
