What I Wore Wednesday

What I Wore Wednesday

Hey everyone, so I forgot to get a full length photo but you can kind of see my outfit. This week's What I Wore Wednesday is the outfit I wore on Christmas Day. Sorry there isn't a full photo but the only thing you can't see in it is my jeans.

So I wore a glittery gold top from Guess which my aunt got me a couple of years ago when she was in New York and I paired it with my ONLY jeans because well I was going to be eating a lot of food and  those jeans are kinda stretchy in the material. When I was out visiting my family I paired my outfit with my leather jacket that has a faux fur trim which I got last year and that's is from the brand Ribbon and I bought it in BANK. Shocker it was cold so I also wore my UGG's.

Manicure Monday

Manicure Monday

This week's Manicure Monday is my Christmas nails! I had chosen to do my nails red, I used Attitude's "Red Hot" nail lacquer. I love the quality of this polish, it doesn't chip and really lasts well.

Method:

1. File all nails so they're even and there are no hang nails.
2. Apply a base coat to prevent staining the nail.
3. Paint on the first layer of nail varnish.
4. Once the first layer is dry, apply the second layer of polish.
5. After the second layer of polish is dry apply a top coat

Fragrance Friday

Fragrance Friday

This week's Fragrance Friday is Playboy's Play It Spicy. This scent is so original with an oriental feel, with a hint of spice. I sampled it purely out of curiosity and actually really liked it, it's a really warm and spicy scent and is nice and cheap. I think this is a great sexy, night time scent and lasts surprisingly long for the price you pay.

I would rate this fragrance 3.9/5 because it's a nice warm scent and is SUPER cheap. Check it out here:

That's it for this week's Fragrance Friday, I hope you had a great Christmas and enjoyed today's blog!

Beauty Thursday

Beauty Thursday

Merry Christmas my lovelies! For this week's Beauty Thursday I chose to do my review of the December Glossybox. First off how adorable is the Christmas themed box! Love it.

Anatomicals Zap Zap Zap

The first product in this month's Glossybox was the Anatomicals Zap Zap Zap Gets That Chap- Day and Night spot stick. Thankfully I don't usually suffer too often with spots but sadly when I get a spot boy do I get one. I had a small one coming up on my chin and decided I would give this bad boy a go. I must say I used it for two days and the spot that was about to arrive disappeared. This was a full sized product and you can purchase it here:

Bellapierre Cosmetics Cheek & Lip Stain

One of my favourite products in this month's Glossybox has got to be this cheek and lip stain from Bellapierre. I get so excited when I receive their products in Glossybox's because they're such great quality. I literally wear my Bellapierre lipstick almost everyday so it was great to receive a new product. I used this product on my lips, and I thought it was great smelt nice and it was a pretty colour. The stain came in the shade coral and lasted pretty well, I didn't need to keep applying which was great.

TRESemme Renewal Hair and Scalp 60 Second Treatment

Another item I really liked in this month's Glossybox was the 60 Second Treatment Shots by TRESemme, it's main aim is to instantly rescue hair in one use. The 60 second shots are for damaged hair by simply applying the shot to most damaged parts of the hair, avoiding the roots. Leave it in for 1 minute and then rinse it out. Honestly I didn't think it would work before I tried it, I thought how effective can something be in 60 seconds?! BUT it actually did, I was very pleasantly surprised to find my hair so soft and it didn't feel all dry and damaged anymore. You can purchase this item here:

#LipGlam The Multipurpose Moisturiser

This Multipurpose moisturiser from #LipGlam was another really cool item in this month's Glossybox and super handy! My first comment on the product however was it was really hard to open! This multipurpose lip balm is for dry and sensitive skin and can be used as a lip balm, cuticle ointment, splint end smoother, lipstick and mascara primer and a dry skin reliever on elbows, knees and knuckles. When I used it as a lip balm and a lipstick primer my lips felt smooth and hydrated and worked as a good primer. For all of it's many uses I think this is a great product to keep in my handbag as it is bound to come in handy at some stage of my day, thank's Glossybox! We received the full sized product worth £9.99 which you can purchase here:

SkinPep Wrinkle Clear Peptide Serum

The last item in this month's Glossybox was the SkinPep Wrinkle Clear Peptide Serum. The full sized product costs £29.99 and it's described as a "powerhouse serum containing 5 collagen boosting peptides." It's designed to reduce fine lines and wrinkles and restore a healthy new glow. So I didn't actually try this product because I didn't think I would get any benefit from it and I gave it to my mum. She did like it though so anyone who likes Clarins creams might like this too, although once she finishes the tube she said she will be returning to her Clarins.

So that's it for this week's Beauty Thursday, I hope you enjoyed today's blog and Merry Christmas!

What I Wore Wednesday

What I Wore Wednesday

It's Christmas Eve! For this week's What I Wore Wednesday I thought I would share with you lovely people the outfit I wore to my Christmas college ball. I  wore the same outfit that I wore to my 18th which was a year and a half ago so it was basically a brand new outfit having only been worn once.

My sequined dress which I love is from French Connection and I wore nude wedges from Korky's.

You can purchase the nude wedges from Korky's here:

Manicure Monday

Manicure Monday

Hey everyone I'm back! Thank you for being so understanding with my little week off due to annoying college work and then I got sick but anyhow I'm back now and I must say the longer I have been doing the blog the more I get bored when I'm not writing, even if I have loads to do. Anyway so now that's out of the way here is this week's Manicure Monday!

For this week's Manicure Monday I thought I would do something a little different and did a navy nail with gold tips. I used No7's "blue lagoon" and Seventeen's gold/ copper polish which I got in a set.

Method:

1. File all nails so they're equal length and to prevent hang nails.
2, Apply a base coat to prevent discolouring of the nail.
3. To begin I used my white tip stickers that I would use on a french manicure and lined them to the tips of the nail.
4. I then swept a coat of the gold polish and waited for it to dry, once the coat was dry I applied a second coat.
5, Once the tips were dry I carefully painted the rest of my nail in the blue lagoon being careful not to go over the gold tip.
6. After the first coat of the blue lagoon polish dried, I applied a second coat.
7.  Once all of my nails were dry I applied a top coat to prevent chipping.

You can purchase Seventeen "Copper" here:

Fragrance Friday

Fragrance Friday

This week's Fragrance Friday is Christina Aguilera's self titled perfume. I love this scent if you are trying to achieve a sophisticated and elegant scent. It's feminine and slightly seductive fragrance smells of jasmine and blueberry. This scent is another of my all time favourite perfumes, it's a great intimate fragrance and you feel sexy and elegant while wearing it.

I would rate this scent 5/5 because over the years it's probably one of the few perfumes I continue to buy. It's also a great scent and has an excellent lasting power.

Beauty Thursday

Beauty Thursday

For this week's Beauty Thursday I chose to do a night out look. I used a dramatic gold smokey eye and a cranberry red lip.

To begin I did my usual foundation routine which you can check out here: Instead of my Benefit foundation I used my Rimmel "Wake Me Up" foundation because it's darker and I had fake tan on. (Sorry the lighting isn't great in this picture.)

Next up I filled in my brows, because it was for a night out I wanted my eyebrows to be a bit darker. So I  used the Wet 'n' Wild brow Ultimate Brow kit to outline the shape of my brows and then filled them in using Benefit's Gimme Brow. I also applied my eye shadow primer, I am still using my Absolute eye shadow primer which I got in a Glossybox a couple of month's ago.

I then applied Essence "Dance All Night" on the inner half of my eye.

Next I swept another gold shadow on the outer half of my eye. This shadow I actually got in a "Britain Next Top Model" palette. Sorry I don't know the shade but there at least you can see if any of your own are similar.

After I finished the gold, using a large blending brush I swept "Hustle" from Naked palette by Urban Decay into the crease of my eye.

Once that was done, I lined my eyes with a black gel liner, I used Benefit's Push Up Liner.

After the liner was dry, I curled my lashed and applied my mascara. I used Benefit's They're Real mascara.  Then using a thin pencil brush I applied a plum shadow from my Pretty In Pink Palette under my eyes.

I then went over the plum colour in a shimmery brown colour. I got this mini palette with a bunch of shades a couple of Christmas' ago. I think it's from a Colour Institute kit.

To finish off my eye's I simply applied my on the inside corner of my eye and along my brow bone. I used my Glossybox highlighter. I also lined my water line with a black eyeliner pencil. I used Lollipops Crayon Yeux in "Goodbye Moon."

To complete my look, I applied my Mattify Cosmetic's lip pot in the shade "Cranberry Glaze" on my lips.

Completed Look:

Products I used:

Absolute Perfecting Eyeshadow Primer

Wet 'n' Wild Ultimate Brow Kit

Benefit Gimme Brow

essence mono eyeshadow- "Dance All Night"

Urban Decay Naked Palette

Benefit They're Real! Push Up Liner

Benefit They're Real! Mascara

Pretty Pink Make Up Palette

Well that's it for this week's Beauty Thursday, I hope you enjoyed today's blog!

What I Wore Wednesday

What I Wore Wednesday

This week's What I Wore Wednesday is just another super casual outfit I wore to college. I am wearing a big grey hoodie from Penney's/Primark (for a cosy Winter effect I got it two sizes bigger than my actual size) and my new skinny jeans from ONLY. I also wore a bright pink tank top from H&M (I love these tank tops and own them in like 6 colours) and my UGG's because lets face it, it's Winter and most of the time I am only going to college so I just want comfort.

Celebrity Style Sunday

Celebrity Style Sunday

This week's Celebrity Style Sunday is going to be about my favourite looks from the British Fashion Awards.

Miss Kendall Jenner rocked a white slim jumpsuit which was strapless. The gorgeous jumpsuit was designed by Emilio Pucci.

Cara Delevingne stunned in this incredible sparkling gold floor length gown with thigh high slit. This amazing creation was designed by Burberry.

Sister Poppy Delevingne also looked amazing last night in this embellished dress which featured a plunging neckline. The dress designed by Topshop, also featured mesh panels.

Tamsin Egerton looked striking as she strutted down the red carpet in a long red peplum skirt designed by Natasha Zinko.

Ellie Goulding glowed down the red carpet in this white and silver gown, it featured white paneling over the chest and then had silver brocade detailing down the rest of the dress.

Can we all take a moment to take in this incredible moment that was Karlie Kloss on the red carpet?! She honestly looked so unbelievable the gold satin dress was hands down my favourite look of the night.

That's it for this week's Celebrity Style Sunday, I hope you enjoyed today's blog!
