Fragrance Friday

Fragrance Friday

This week's Fragrance Friday is dedicated to Rihanna's Reb'l Fleur fragrance. To me this fragrance is a great scent for night outs or date nights, it's sexy and sensual. I found this scent to be strong and sweet, it blends in well. I also found that it had a good lasting power- I found I got up to 4-5 hours. When I wear this scent on nights out everyone is obsessed with the smell! I found I could smell notes of coconut, vanilla but also very fruity scents too.

I would rate this scent 5/5 because I love the scent, it lasts long and it is quite affordable.

Beauty Thursday

Beauty Thursday

So this month's Glossybox arrived and so I am taking you lovely readers through it for this week's Beauty Thursday. The October Glossybox had a pop art theme and I love it, it's so eye catching.

Nuxe Creme Fraiche de Beaute Mask

So the first item in this month's Glossybox was this Nuxe Creme Fraiche mask, this item was guaranteed in the box and it was a full sized product worth £19.50. The mask was a 24 hour moisturising mask which hydrates all skin types, instantly reducing redness. This item came at the perfect timing seeing as the cold Winter weather has already been drying out my skin. I applied the mask all over including my eye contours, let it absorb for ten minutes and then removed the remaining product with a gentle toner. My skin has been feeling amazing since using the mask, I must say I am very impressed! You can purchase the Nuxe Creme Fraiche de Beaute mask here:

Etre Belle Cosmetics Liplift Peel

The next item was an Etre Belle Cosmetics Liplift Peel, this was also another full sized product. The Liplift Peel is a gentle and moisturising exfoliator for the lips that removes dead cells and refines the surface of the skin. I scrubbed my lips and removed with a damp cotton wool. To my surprise my lips dead feel softer, I would recommend not to use more than once a week because my friend applied it more often than that and it dried out hers more as a result. You can purchase the Etre Belle Cosmetics Liplift Peel here:

So Susan Cosmetics Flutter Mascara

This months Glossybox provided a So Susan Cosmetics Flutter mascara, which once again was a full sized product worth £14.95. I thought it was a nice mascara but I'm afraid to say it wasn't overly amazing. The packaging is so cute with the gold tube, however after applying several layers to my lashes I didn't notice much of a difference other than black making my lashes darker. If you want to purchase SoSusan Cosmetics Flutter mascara here:

Natural World Argan Oil Morocco Oil

The next product was this Morroco hair treatment oil which was a sample size. I have owned this product before and love it so I was ecstatic to see it in my Glossybox. It treats frizzy hair and I use it after I have washed my shower mainly on the ends just before I blowdry it. I love the look this gives my hair, it makes it shiny and soft. Trust me guys, a little goes a long way. You can purchase this item here:

MeMeMe Cosmetics Trio Eyeshadow

I only discovered MeMeMe recently and had actually just bought an eyeliner pencil from them which I LOVE so I was really excited to try out another MeMeMe product. In this month's Glossybox we received their trio eye shadow which was in shades of purple, it's also called "Elegant Eye's." I was worried because I didn't think purple was really my colour but the darker ones appeared okay. It took a few layers of the eyeshadow as it wasn't as pigmented as I wanted but it appeared quite nice. You can purchase a MeMeMe Cosmetics Eye Inspire Classic Trio here:

Rimmel London BB Matte Mini

The last product in this month's Glossybox was a Rimmel London BB Matte cream. I was excited to try this product, but I wasn't overwhelmed with it. The cream ended up looking a bit orangey on my skin but I ended up using it as a concealer underneath my Rimmel foundation when I had fake tan on and it looked nice. You can purchase Rimmel London BB Matte Cream here:

Tan Tuesday

Tan Tuesday

For this week's Tan Tuesday I thought I would write about how to apply your fake tan. I previously did a blog post on how to prepare leading up to tanning which you can check out here:

First of all you should think about what type of tanner you want to use:
- You can use Gradual tanner which involves multiple applications depending on how dark you want to make your tan.
- Or you can apply an Instant Tan which as is given away in the title shows up instantly with a sun kissed glow.

This tip is very important, pick the right colour. If you have fair skin, buy a light or medium coloured tan. Don't go for the darkest tan because it wont suit your skin tone. If you find your tan is too light just apply another coat.

When it comes to applying fake tan, I recommend you always use a mitt because otherwise the palms of your hands will look ridiculous which is a dead give away that you're wearing fake tan.

Now it's time to apply, squeeze a small amount of your tan onto your mitt and working from your ankles up in circular movements, and do one body part at a time so you're sure not to miss any spots. When doing your feet, spread the tanner from your legs.

When applying tan to your back I always recommend you ask a friend to help you.

And there you have it folks, that's this week's Tan Tuesday! I hope you enjoyed today's blog!

Manicure Monday

Manicure Monday

Hi Guys, I am back from my two week's off, lets get right back to it. This week's Manicure Monday I chose a polka dot styled nail. I used Attitude's "Red Hot" for a red base and I used Essence's Colour & Go "Black is Back" for a black dot.

Method:
1. File all nails evenly.
2. I applied a base coat to prevent discolouring of the nails.
3. I then painted on the first coat of red.
4. Once the first coat of the red polish had dried, I applied a second coat.
5. Next, using a nail brush, I painted on dots using the black polish.
6. Lastly, I applied a top coat.

You can purchase Attitude's "Red Hot" nail polish here:

Fragrance Friday

Fragrance Friday

This week's Fragrance Friday is Sarah Jessica Parker's Covet perfume. I found this fragrance very herbal and it is definitely one of the more unique scents I have ever tried. The scent had great lasting power in that I got 8hours and I didn't even need to spray that much. There is a strong scent of lemon in this fragrance so if you enjoy zingy perfumes then this is the scent for you.

Overall I do really like this perfume but it's not one of the scents that I could wear everyday, I would rate it 4/5 because it's so nice and has a great lasting power but if you spray too much it can be a tad overwhelming.

That's it for this week's Fragrance Friday, I hope you enjoyed today's blog!

Tan Tuesday

Tan Tuesday

For this week's Tan Tuesday I chose Cocoa Brown's "Night and Day" tan. I really like this tan for an "in a hurry tan" because it shows up instantly and what's great about this tan that's unlike most other instant tans is that even after showering the next day you still have a light colour that lasts a few days. I am also in love with the fact it's so cheap, it costs only e10.39 and lasts a good while.

I would rate Cocoa Brown "Night and Day" tan 4.8/5 because it's so cheap and is the perfect instant tan that leaves you with a nice glow for the next couple of days.

You can purchase Cocoa Brown "Night and Day" here:

Manicure Monday

For this week's Manicure Monday I chose Attitude's "Bubblegum" nail polish. I really liked this polish because it didn't cheap and lasted really well.

Method:

1. To begin, I filed all my nails so they were equal length.
2. Next, I applied a base coat to prevent discolouring of my nails.
3. Then, I applied the first coat of polish.
4. Once the first coat was dry, I applied a second coat.
5. When both coats were dry, I applied a top coat.

Fragrance Friday

Fragrance Friday

This week's Fragrance Friday is Kylie Minogue's "Music Box" perfume. I really like this fragrance it smells sweet but sensual,  the scent smells like a fruit and floral perfume and lasts quite a few hours which is really good. The cap (which I lost) really annoyed me though, it seemed quite tacky and cheapened the perfume even though it was such a nice scent.

I would rate Kylie Minogue "Music Box" perfume 3.5/5 because I like the smell but the tackiness of the appearance annoyed me and to get the scent I do have to spray a lot of the perfume.

Beauty Thursday - September Glossybox Review

September Glossybox

Almost two week's ago I received my September Glossybox and my obsession continues. This box was specially designed by Karen Millen. Most of the products were amazing and I hadn't look at buying them before.

ModelCo More Brows Fibre Gel

The first item I tried was the fibre gel, I was really excited about this product and putting it to the test seeing as I have recently become obsessed with brow gel. This was a full sized product and I enjoyed that this gel dried really fast so my brows didn't feel soaked. This fa gel gives the illusion of fuller, thicker brows. You can purchase ModelCo More Brows Fibre Gel here:

L' Oreal Professional Mythic Masque

Another product which was in my Glossybox was my L'Oreal Mythic Masque, this was definitely my favourite product in my Glossybox. I love hair masks because I always try my best to keep my hair in as best condition as possible. You apply to towel-dried hair and leave in for 3 minutes and then rinse. This product my hair feel so soft, and looked shiny! You can purchase the L'Oreal Professional Mythic Masque here:

GOSH Cosmetics Silky Cream Blusher

The next item I received was GOSH's Silky Cream Blusher. I really liked the feeling of this blush it was so smooth and silky on the skin just like it said it would be. It was a nice coral-orange colour with a hint of shimmer.

Kiss Haute Couture Lashes

One of my favourite items in the September Glossybox was the Kiss eyelashes. I am personally obsessed with eyelashes so I was really excited to get these. There were three types of lashes available from Kiss' Haute Couture range and I received "Wink." I actually loved the glue that came with them because it lasted well and dries quickly, none of the wet, tacky feeling that you get with some eyelash glue. I loved that these eyelashes looked so natural because sometimes eyelashes can be a bit over dramatic. You can purchase Kiss Haute Couture Wink lashes here:

Skin Pep Enzyme and Acid Peel and Peeling Gel

Lastly in my Glossybox was SkinPep Enzyme and Acid Peel and Peeling Gel and their Dark Circle eye cream. Honestly, I didn't try the Enzyme and Acid peel because the acid peel scared me where my skin is so sensitive. However, I had Freshers Week with college this week so I definitely put their Dark Circle Eye Cream to the test. I can tell you that my skin didn't react to the eye cream (yay) and it did reduce the puffiness and dark circles around my eyes. You can purchase SkinPep Dark Circle Eye cream here:
