Beauty Thursday

Beauty Thursday

This week's Beauty Thursday is a review of the July Birchbox. This month's box was a collaboration with Millie Mackintosh and first off this box is absolutely stunning, the design was so, so pretty. However the box itself this month, I was a little disappointed in.

LOC x Millie Ultra Lip Gloss Pencil

The first product we received was a full size lip gloss pencil from Millie and LOC worth £9 in the shade "Bohemian Rose." I've tried a couple of products from LOC before and like each previous time I wasn't disappointed, it was a super pretty pink colour gloss and was quite opaque. It also felt nice on the lips, overall I quite liked this product.

Elemis Hydra Boost Day Cream

We also received a sample size of this day cream from Elemis, the full size is worth £39. The nourishing cream also has hyaluronic acid to lock in moisture, you simply apply in the morning after you've cleansed. I liked the product and there was actually a lot of product in the sample size but I'm going to continue with my own moisturizer.

Nails Inc nail varnish

This month's box also contained a sample size of a pink coloured Nails Inc nail varnish. I have to say the size was quite cute it reminded me of the ones I used to get when I was a child and I have that many nail varnishes that half of them dry up before I use them all so I'm okay with the size. A full size is worth £15 which to be honest I think is a bit much as you definitely need two coats, if not three and it's not very opaque.

Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum

Another sample size in this month's box was this radiance serum from Caudalie, the full size is worth £45. It says the product fades dark spots, evens out skintone and boosts your skin's natural glow. I'm not sure how effective it is for dark spots, and I didn't notice any difference in evening out my skin tone but I did find my skin had a nice glow after use. You simply smooth in a thin layer over your face after cleansing and then follow up with your moisturizer.

John Frieda Luxurious Volume 7 Day Volume treatment

The last product was another full size, this one from John Frieda worth £9.99. You either received the 7 day volume treatment or a free ease forever smooth anti frizz primer. I recieved the volume treatment and although my hair does not lack in volume I decided to give it a go and all I can say is, it definitely works my hair was quite large and in charge!

Beauty Thursday

Beauty Thursday

This week's Beauty Thursday is dedicated to my review of the July Glossybox! Spoiler alert; this may be my favourite box by Glossybox ever, the products were great this month and four were full size with a good sized sample size for the fifth product.

Hairon Detangle Brush

So this product was obviously a full size and first off how cute is the colour?! I already own a Tangle Teaser but I've had to use a special brush since getting extensions however, I did give this brush a go and it was great with my hair dry, it still worked with my prebonds wet but I was a little scared it would pull out the extension. This detangling brush is also smaller than the Tangle Teaser so I feel like it'll also be great to bring in your purse and have on the go. This full size was worth £6.99 and if you use the code Glossy before the 30th of August you can get 30% off!

UTan and Tone Nourishing Night Cream

So this next item is a sample size and a full size is worth £12.50. The packaging on this product is super pretty and looks quite luxurious to say it costs £12.50. Basically this is a nourishing night cream that also has gradual tanner that is safe to use on your face and it won't stain your pillow or leave you to wake up to a biscuit smell in the morning. The brand also says the product is paraben free, lanolin free and don't test on animals which is a bonus! Start at the centre of your face and use outwards and nstrokes to apply evenly, and wash hands after use. I must say the smell is really nice, I absolutely loved the finished product, I woke up to a natural looking tan on my face and there was no mess on my pillow or tan smell.

Hawaiian Tropic Island Berry Lip Gloss

So not entirely sure what is going on with Hawaiian Tropic and Glossybox lately but we received another product from them this month, this time a lip gloss and I had no idea they did lip gloss! First off it has SPF25 which is so great and it's another full size product worth £6.99. The pink colour is really pretty and the smell is super sweet.

Icona Milano Emotion Allowed Mascara

Again we got another full size (yay) of this mascara from Icona Milano and it's worth £13.04. So I have quite a few mascaras which I am currently making my way through so I'm not opening this one yet, but if it's any good I will definitely update you guys! The bonus is it's water, sweat and humidity resistant so will be perfect if you want to wear a bit of mascara to the beach or pool.

Blank Canvas F20 Flat Brush

Okay so not going to lie when I saw this on the sneak peak I was so unbelievably excited and to me this product alone makes this month's box so worth it but the last product we received was this F20 pink brush from Blank Canvas and I am absolutely in love! I've used this with two different foundations and a BB cream and it's given a flawless finish on all of them. This full size brush was worth £11.95. Also if you use the code BLANKCANVASGB before the 31st of July, you can get 30% off!

What I Wore Wednesday

What I Wore Wednesday

This week's What I Wore Wednesday is from a night out celebrating one of my best friend's birthdays. Honestly for the last couple of month's it has been one friend after another and tomorrow I shall be 21 to add to the list! Anyway back to the outfit details, I wore my plunging black jersey playsuit with my brown lace up booties from Oasis. I'm not gonna lie I had to pin the front as I wasn't comfortable with just how plunging the playsuit was as I do like to dance but other than that I loved my outfit, the playsuit was super comfy and looked stunning on!

- You can purchase my plunge front jersey playsuit from Topshop here:

- The Luxe Lace Up booties from Oasis are available to purchase here:

Beauty Thursday

Beauty Thursday

This week's Beauty Thursday is dedicated to my review of the Bourjois Radiance Reveal Healthy Mix foundation. I purchased this foundation myself and was pretty impressed. The shade I bought was "Light Vanilla" and I would have quite a dry skin type.

I really liked how natural it looked on the skin but it managed to still give good coverage and it was quite buildable. I would say it averages at about medium coverage although if you apply a super light layer it is still nice and brings a lovely glow to the skin.

Due to the coverage I wouldn't recommend it for a night out clubbing look but it's perfect for an everyday foundation and honestly I forgot I was even wearing it so it has a nice and light feel on the skin. It does have a good wear time I personally got most of the day out of it.

When I applied it with a beauty blender it gave a really pretty, natural and dewy finish. When I used the duo fibre stippling brush and that gave a higher coverage but still looked natural. The last brush I tried it with was the Real Techniques Expert face brush and this gave the highest amount of coverage.

Overall, I am so impressed with this foundation for some reason I didn't think I'd like it but I loved the healthy glow it gave my skin and it was so perfect for every day. I would rate this probably a 3.5 or 4 out of 5.

If you want to purchase the Bourjois Radiance Reveal Healthy Mix foundation, you can do so here for 12.99 euro

So that's it for this week's Beauty Thursday, I hope you enjoyed today's blog!
