What I Wore Wednesday

Carli Bybel x Miss Guided

For this week's What I Wore Wednesday, I thought I would do something a little different so as probably all of you know the stunning Youtuber Carli Bybel came out with a collection in collaboration with Miss Guided. I went through her entire collection online and picked out my favourite pieces from the collection (*spoiler alert* I want almost everything!)

The first item I spotted was this ribbed square neck bodycon. This nude dress is simple and won't go out of fashion, it's also one of the cheaper items for just under  €20. It comes in sizes 32-44.

I'm in love with this pink blazer style midi dress, it's so different to anything out there. The blush pink colour is stunning and the style is sure to turn heads. This fabulous dress is worth €33.25. It also comes in sizes 32-44.

This front split midi skirt in this gorgeous grey colour is another to die for item! It costs €26.60 and so far there is only size 40 and 42 left so if it's your size pick it up fast!

This blazer style wide leg jumpsuit is another fabulous piece in the collection. This gorgeous baby blue colour is stunning and the style is so different and eye catching much like the dress from before. At the moment they only have sizes 32-36 left so act fast. You can purchase it for just €37.24.

I'm in love with this white silky belted wrap cami dress. It costs just €37.24 and comes in sizes 32-44. This dress is just so stunning I'm tempted to get it just so I can have it for next Summer!

The last item is this fabulous longline jersey double layer midi skirt. For €15.96, this beautiful blush pink will give you the perfect figure and is available in sizes 32-42.

So there's all my favourite picks of the Carli Bybel collection, I hope you enjoyed today's blog!

Celebrity Style Sunday

Celebrity Style Sunday

This week's Beauty Thursday is dedicated to the incredibly elegant and beautiful Jaime King. No matter what she wears Jaime seems to be so graceful and fabulous.

This first look is my favourite "non red carpet" look and it is from November 2015, she looked stunning filming for Delta airlines. Jaime wore a Topshop tile border midi skirt and crop top set, along with a pair of Jimmy Choo Anouk pumps. She accessorized with Adormmonde Dustin rose gold crystal ear jackets.

In March 2016, Jaime wowed at An Icon Reimagined ceremony. She wore a Tory Burch pebbled crepe jumpsuit in spark and a Wolford Colorado bodysuit. You can purchase a similar bodysuit from Boohoo here:

In October 2014, the actress flowed at the CFDA/ Vogue Fashion fund dinner. She wore this gorgeous Wed Gordon Spring 2015 dress.

In May 2015, Jaime looked adorable sporting her baby bump out and about in Los Angeles. She wore a Seraphine Alliah denim dungaree maternity dress and a pair of Barbara Bui black textured pointed toe Oxfords. Topshop have a similar non-maternity dress you can purchase here:

In February this year, Jaime was chic and fabulous at the Diane Von Furstenberg presentation. She glowed in this Frederica embellished silk and lace slip, Samantha mohair and Myriam D'Orsay pumps all from Diane Von Furstenberg. She also accessorized with a Diane Von Furstenberg Love Crystal minaudiere.

In January 2015, Jaime looked chic in all white while out shopping at Caudalie. She wore a For Love & Lemons Alpine jacket and a pair of Frame Denim le skinny De Jeanne distressed mid rise jeans. You can purchase a similar pair of jeans from ASOS here:

Martin pre-Fall 2016 robe coat, a pair of Roger Vivier Chips Ballerinas in patent leather and a Jason Wu Diane mini flap python crossbody bag. She accessorized with a pair of Karen Walker Super Spaceship crazy tort sunglasses.

I adore this look from the former model back in November last year. She looked super cosy in this Moose Knuckles 3q jacket in Camo. Bershka have a similar coat available here:

This look from December 2014 is absolutely STUNNING, Jaime attended An Evening with Cole Haan at the New York City Ballet. She wore this fabulous Altuzarra Suffolk fringe blazer and Caine pants.

Beauty Thursday

Beauty Thursday

This week's Beauty Thursday is dedicated to an empties/ products I've used up post. I've used quite a lot of products lately so let's get started!

There are 3 bottles of tan going bye bye this month. I didn't use up the bottle of Rockstar tan but I've had it for far longer than I would like to admit to and it's not the best tan I own so I thought it's time to go. I have however used up yet another bottle of the Cocoa Brown 1 hour tan in dark. This is my old reliable tan, I've gone through so many bottles of this I've lost count and I still have two back ups in my drawer. The last tan I've used up was this sample size of the St Tropez In Shower tan. I got this sample with a recent Boots order and it did one use, I remember liking this product so much more last Summer but I was kinda disappointed this time around. I'm glad I didn't have to spend the money on it this time around but I'm debating if I might give it another go.

I used up three shower products. I really enjoyed this Skin Conditioner sample size from Nivea in cocoa scent. I really liked it and if I see it I will definitely purchase the full size. I also used up a full size of the Radox Uplifted shower gel. I'm currently using a Dove shower but I will probably repurcase a Radox shower gel soon if my previous empties posts are anthing to go by. Lastly, I'm getting rid of the Spa to You Natural Konjac sponge, I got it in a recent Glossybox and the first use it was great and after that it was terrible. I

I finished two hair masks. I finished one of the Tresemme 60 second Treatment Shot. It doesn't do anything for your hair long time but I love how soft my hair feels after using one of these bad boys. I also used up an Aussie 3 Minute Miracle reconstructor mask sample. I really liked this mask and will probably repurchase once I get through a few of the masks I already have.

I didn't use up this Cowshed lotion from my recent subscription box but I am throwing it out because I just couldn't get past the scent. I also used a St Ives apricot gentle scrub this is a great one to use if you need to exfoliate your face as it's nice and gentle or if you have sensitive skin. It's not the best at removing tan but if you're exfoliating before applying tan or just exfoliating then it's great, I will definitely be repurchasing at some stage.

Three face based products have been completely worn out recentley. I finished a sample size of the Rimmel Matte BB cream in Ivory. This ivory shade is actually quite dark so I could only use it when I had tan on but I really liked using it so I think I will be repurchasing but I might wait until next Summer. I also got every last scraping in the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer in fair, it looks like there is still some left but trust me I was scraping down the sides of the tube to get every last bit. I loved the concealer that much I repurchased it in the fair shade and the medium shade for when I have tan on. I also used up a Natural Collection Corrector Stick, this was a great colour corrector really worked on any redness I had and lasted a really long time. I have repurchased a second one already.

I am heartbroken to say I used up a packet of the No7 Beautiful Skin wipes. I discovered these a good few months back thanks to a friend and became so obsessed, I literally got home from her house and ordered a packet of my own. They remove your make up so easily and don't burn your eyes or skin, or make the skin feel dry after using them they're amazing. As it is bad to remove your make up with wipes I did reserve them for when I came in after nights out and was too tired to cleanse properly but I will definitely be repurchasing some stage soon!

So something I must confess that I have recently discovered about myself is, that I am a tanning mitt hoarder. I found 7 mitts in my drawer recently and I still found it hard to throw these three out. As soon as I have used a mitt a few times I tend to buy another mitt but due to the amounts of different tans that I use (instant or develop, mousse or liquid) I feel like I need to keep more than one even though I will only use the one. Anyway these three mitts were from Penney's/Primark I think, and they were the ones that could definitely do with being binned.

I have two eye based products for this week's post. The first is this Nicka K Absolute Perfecting eye shadow primer, that I have had for far too long, it still works great but the formula has kind of separated so it's time to go. I will definitely repurchase but I have two eye shadow primers I need to get through so I will be waiting to do so. The other product is this Natural Collection Lash Length mascara, I love this on my lower lashes, it's not great on the upper lashes unless it's used with another mascara.

I was going through my nail polish drawer recently and found this Kiss natural colour nail varnish was completely dried up, so it's time for the bin. The sad part is, I don't ever remember using this polish.

I am throwing away this E.L.F Stippling brush. I have read so many good reviews on this brush and don't get me wrong I adored the way it applied my foundation for a while but after a few washes it just wouldn't stop shedding, no one in the reviews have had this problem so I don't know if I got a faulty one but the more I tried to use it the more clumps that would shed and now just touching it hairs fall out. So because I wasn't reaching for it due to the shedding it's time to go!

The last item I have used up recently was this NYX Matte Finish Spray. I have two setting sprays which I am currently trying to get through but I absolutely adored this setting spray and would definitely repurchase again at some stage, I recommended it to several of my friends who are oily. I didn't think I would like the matte spray as I have dry skin but I just did my make up all glowy the way I normally did and this just made sure it stayed in place for the whole night or day whereas my friends it did actually keep them matte. I'm also impressed that this little bottle lasted a year!

So that's it for this week's Beauty Thursday, I hope you enjoyed today's blog!

Beauty Thursday

Beauty Thursday

This week's Beauty Thursday is dedicated to my review of the August Birchbox. This month we received a purple bag rather than the usual box overall, I was sadly disappointed in this month's "box."

Marcelle Waterproof eye liner

One of the full sized products we received was this eye liner in the shade "Mulberry," I love receiving eye liners in beauty subscriptions because it opens me up to brands I wouldn't have known and I get to test if the liner suits me without buying it specifically. This full sized liner was worth £10.50 and although it didn't look it in the photo, it's a purple shade. The liner is really pigmented and and boy is it waterproof!

Anatomicals The Buff Stuff Citrus Body Scrub

Next we got a sample size of this body scrub from Anatomicals, a full size is worth £3.99. You massage into wet skin, then rinse away. I liked the grapefruit smell however, I wasn't fond of the scrub as it wasn't very effective.

Merci Handy Antibacterial Cleansing Gel

This was another full size worth £2.90 and was probably my favourite product this month, I've already popped it in my handbag for when I'm back in college. It has a black vanilla scent and oh my days, it smells incredible! I need a perfume in this scent.

Parlour By Jeff Chastain Volumizing Lift Spray

Another sample size we received was this volumizing spray from Parlour, the full size is worth £17. I don't really have a problem with volume so I haven't tested it, I might try it for a night out to see if it does work but as I said I don't really need volumizing products. You spray onto partly dry roots and finish drying then style as usual.

The Hero Project Instant Moisture Boost

A full size product this month was this moisturizer from Hyasoft worth £19. I did quite like the moisturizer, it smelled nice and didn't react with my sensitive skin, it also works well as a primer base. Apply a coin sized amount to the skin and allow to absorb for a few minutes.

Nude Perfect Cleanse Omega Cleansing Jelly

As a bonus product we received this sample pack of cleansing jelly from Nude. I used this with the cleansing brush I got in this month's Glossybox and they worked well together. The full size is worth £32.

If you want to subscribe to Birchbox, you can do so here:

So that's it for this week's Beauty Thursday, I hope you enjoyed today's blog!

What I Wore Wednesday- Haul

What I Wore Wednesday

This week's What I Wore Wednesday is a mini haul from a recent shopping trip. I went shopping in the Jervis Centre and a Brown Thomas on Grafton Street.

Inglot

I bought another one of my Under Make Up base primer. This is my second tube of this primer, I love using it on nights out. I also bought one of their lipsticks in the shade 118, it's a really pretty pink mauve shade.

Mac

I also popped into MAC and bought one of their matte lipsticks in the shade "Velvet Teddy."

River Island

A few weeks ago I bought these rose gold sandals from River Island to go with my dress for my 21st party. However, I ended up buying a different pair from Korky's and returning these.

Boots

In Boots, I bought a new bottle of the Katy Perry Royal Revolution perfume.

Penney's/Primark

The last store I went into was Penney's, I bought a pair of black basic leggings in a size 10 for 6 euro.

I also bought this pink top for 6 euro in a size 12.

I HAD to buy this lipstick holder for only 3 euro.
For 1.50euro I bought a new eye lash curler

I picked up another tanning mitt though I can't remember how much it was.

I decided to try their beauty sponge for 1.50 to see what it was like compared to ones I already own.

Another 1.50 pick up was this pack of 4 nail files.

The last item I purchased was this portable phone charger for 9euro, I wanted to see if it worked and for 9 euro I didn't mind.

So that's it for this week's What I Wore Wednesday, I hope you enjoyed today's blog!
