Manicure Monday

Manicure Monday

This week Manicure Monday I went for a french manicure. I used a Body Collection french manicure set which I really liked.

Method:

1. To begin I filed all my nails to make sure there were no hangnails.
2. I then applied the base coat of the manicure to my nails.
3. Next I applied the white polish on the tips of my nails in the shape of white crescents.
4. To finish the nails I applied the clear top coat.

Hope you enjoyed today's blog!

Celebrity Style Sunday

Celebrity Style Sunday

Today's Celebrity Style Sunday is dedicated to the beautiful and extremely talented Mila Kunis. Mila has proved over the years on red carpets she is a true master of style. Kunis has perfected the look of being sexy but still be elegant, here are some of my favourite looks:

Mila wore this sleek red Lanvin Resort 2012 dress on the red carpet for Friends With Benefits, Mila looked amazing in this dress, it fit like a glove and flatters everything. The dress was paired with simple black satin Lanvin pumps and gold jewels. You can get a similar dress here:

Kunis opted for a more feminine look when she wore this Demi lace Dolce & Gabbana dress to the LA premiere to Oz The Great And Powerful in February 2013. The actress looked lovely in the sleeveless ecru dress with a lace embroidered bodice and lace appliques on the chiffon skirt. She styled the dress with silver Christian Louboutin "Anglique" peep toes with bows and violet Sutra earrings. You can get similar, more affordable shoes in nude here:

In 2011 Mila attended the White House Correspondents' Dinner wearing this sleek black Versace Fall 2011 gown which I am in love with. Mila pulled her hair back to continue the sleek look and the gown had a thigh high slit and an open back.

While on The Today Show in New York back in 2011, Mila joined Justin Timberlake to promote "Friends With Benefits" in this sexy red Versace dress with a plunging neckline, she paired the dress with champagne Jimmy Choo pumps. You can get a similar, cheaper version here:

Mila Kunis played the role of the metallic maven at the 2014 Golden Globe Awards back in January. The actress rocked this Gucci Premiere backless halter gown, which had a flashy, sequin-encrusted bodice cascaded into a dove grey skirt which had a slight train, just long enough to trail behind.

Mila looked the picture of elegance when she blew everyone away on the red carpet for the New York premiere of "Black Swan." She wowed in this Elie Saab Spring 2011 gown, the rose micro-pleated v neck capped sleeve gown was paired with Christian Louboutin heels. The gown is so simple and yet so stunning she oozes grace in it.

One of my favourite looks from Mila is when she stepped out in this amazing Burberry dress back in September. Kunis attended the Toronto International Film Festival to premiere Third Person she oozed sex appeal in the white low cut dress. She looks truly amazing and paired the look with Christian Louboutin pewter python pumps. You can get cheaper and similar sandals here:

Another all time favourite Mila look of mine is from the 2012 Dior fashion show at Paris Fashion Week. She was then the face of Dior and represented them will in this chic ensemble. I am so in love with the cream coat and the light pink almost nude dress, ugh it is just so amazing! Coast do a similar and cheaper, cropped version of the coat which you can get here:

Last but definitely not least, the look to beat all looks hands down has to be Mila at the 2011 Oscars. This to me, has to be one of the most breath taking gowns from any Oscars, it was so unexpected for Mila. She looked so radiant in the lavender lace gown. The stunning train and bust managed to be elegant but still sexy at the same time. It was just unbelievable!!

There you have it folks, hope you enjoyed today's blog!

Best Bikini For Your Body Shape

Best Bikini For Your Body Shape

With summer upon us I decided to dedicate a blog to which bikini suits your body shape. I know that a lot of us have insecurities and wearing a bikini can seem really daunting at least for me it can be anyway, so I just wanted to help make you feel a little more comfortable and confident by wearing a bikini that suits you. Obviously I'm not an expert or anything but these are some tips that I discovered from magazines and stuff, so I hope this helps.

Hour Glass Shape

How you know you have an hour glass shape is when your hips and bust are the same size but you have a smaller waist so that you have the shape of an hour glass of big, small and then big again. I personally have an hour glass shape and the consensus of what I have read and what I found works for me are halter necks bikinis and string bikinis. I found if I wore a string bikini it would have to be from a proper lingerie shop because I have bigger breasts and need the support of the under wire like in a bra and if I can't find a nice string one in a lingerie shop I would just make sure to go for a halter or a bra shaped top in a normal shop. Halter necks will help break up the neckline and balance out your shape. I would definitely recommend a string bottom though because it is more flattering to your hips and elongates your legs. Definitely stay away from those boy shorts because they will just make your hips look bigger and bandeau tops because they will be really unflattering. If you plan on wearing a one piece swimsuit go for a halter neck or a v neck style it'll be more flattering. Celebrities like Scarlett Johansson and Kim Kardashian have hour glass shapes so look at what type of bikinis they wear and they always suit their shape. You can get a suitable bikini here: H&M also do some really nice swimwear a top that really suits hour glass shapes is here: they also have nice bottoms like the ones here: River Island do some really nice one pieces which would be suitable for hour glass shapes like the one here:

Pear Shape

Pear shape is when your hips, thighs and bum are more prominent than your waist or bust, basically your lower body is larger than your upper body. The pear body shape can also be known as a triangular shape. Again I think pear shapes should stick with the string bikini bottoms because it again elongates your legs and you can adjust where it should sit on your hips and again stay away from boy shorts or any block or stocky type bikinis. If you want to cover up then use a light material sarong. For the top I would recommend a bandeau style top will make your bust look bigger so will even out the proportions also frilled or fringed bikinis will add some drama to the bust which will also make it appear larger giving the Marilyn Monroe look and stay away from halter necks. You can get a gorgeous two piece here: H&M do really flattering tops like the one here: Bank also do a great one piece like the one here: Look out for celebrities like Beyonce, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Shakira because they all have pear shaped bodies.

Apple Shape

Apple body shape women appear top heavy with a full upper body with little waist definition, basically the opposite to a pear shape. The apple shape can also be known as an inverted triangle, usually they have great legs and small hips with  bigger breasts or if they don't have bigger breasts they'll have a bigger midriff section. Apple body shapes best suit tankinis which are like tank top with spaghetti straps bikinis which will minimize the midriff if you're uncomfortable showing it off. Bikini bottoms with thick straps or ruffles or boy shorts would suit best also, again like with the hour glass shape if you have a bigger bust I would recommend a bikini with under wire to support the bust. It would suit better to stay away from bandeau styles because they suit people with smaller busts better. Here: is a bikini with under wire and has a thick bottoms, and Bank do this gorgeous one piece here: Watch celebrities like Jennifer Hudson, Angelina Jolie or Catherine Zeta Jones for style tips on how to dress an apple body shape.

Boyish Shape

A boyish shape or a rectangle body shape is when your silhouette is fairly straight with a slight masculine look, it's similar to the hourglass shape but without the waist. If you have a masculine shape I think that the halter high waisted bikinis would suit perfectly because this look would give you the curves that you are worried about missing, if you can't find a high waisted bikini go for bottoms with some form of detail like ruffles. Bandeau style tops will also be great because they will make your bust seem bigger and broaden your frame. You can get a great bikini that's semi high waisted here: River Island do a great high waisted bottom like the one here: Bank also do a great selection of Marilyn Monroe style high waisted bikinis like the bottoms here: Stars like Taylor Swift, Cameron Diaz and Hilary Duff all have the boyish body shape and always look amazing so keep an eye out on their styles for how to flatter your shape.

That's all folks, hope this helped and remember once you feel confident you will look amazing!!

Fragrance Friday

Fragrance Friday

This week I chose Kate Moss' perfume Lilabelle for "Fragrance Friday." As you can tell from the almost empty bottle in the picture above I really like this perfume and wear it a lot. This is a really gentle, soft perfume that won't overwhelm you, it's a nice perfume for daytime use, especially during summer but I wouldn't wear it at night because it is so subtle. It's a soapy, flowery scent and smells really clean. It does have a strong staying power even though the smell itself is so sutble.

I would rate this perfume a 3.5/5 purely because I personally prefer stronger scents but if you like girly, floral scents that are subtle then this is the perfume for you! Plus it is so cheap.

You can get Kate Moss Lilabelle here:

That's all folks, hope you enjoyed today's Fragrance Friday!

What I Wore Wednesday

I was out this weekend so I thought I would do my outfit fir this week's What I Wore Wednesday. This weekend I wore one of my absolute favourite dresses it was this red dress from Julian MacDonald's Diamond collection which I got in Debenhams December 2012. I wear this dress all the time and it's great to wear with straight or curly hair, this time I wore my hair curly but I have done both. I paired it with my black Korky's wedged heels.

Beauty Buy Of The Week

Beauty Buy Of The Week

My Beauty Buy Of The Week is Salon Elite's Tangle Teezer. I had heard great things about this product for ages but hadn't gotten around to actually getting it and then I just decided to bite the bullet and purchase it, now I have no idea how I brushed my hair without it. I LOVE this little gadget, I have really thick wavy hair and when I get out of the shower I find it so hard (and painful) trying to brush it afterwards and use about half of a bottle of detangling spray on my hair and then my hair dresser told me that she uses it and it really does work. It's so amazing and for those of you with extensions one of my best friend uses it on her hair and is obsessed with it too. I still use my detangling spray, I was told I wouldn't have to but I'm a real creature of habit!

I would definitely rate this a 5/5 because it is amazing not having pain while brushing my hair and it also comes in a variety of colours and is a great size to fit in your hand or in your bag.

You can get the Salon Elite's Tangle Teezer here:

That's all folks, hope you enjoyed this week's Beauty Buy Of The Week!

Tan Tuesday

Tan Tuesday

For today's Tan Tuesday I chose Skin Deep's Self Tanning Wipes. I chose the tanning wipes when I attended my friend's debs because I had used them years ago when I was a bridesmaid for my aunt and thought they were great. Thankfully I discovered that they were still available and bought some, the wipes are great because as I have mentioned in previous blogs I have really sensitive skin and some tans irritate that but these didn't! They also come out really even and natural, it was like I had just been away for three weeks without the risk of sunburn. These wipes are unbelievably cheap at only 3.99 euro and has hardly any scent compared to other tans. It's great how the tan doesn't come out streak or patchy which is what makes me nervous about using wipes because you can't see where you applied it but these really are great.

I would recommend these tanning wipes to anyone and would rate them 5/5 because they're so easy to use and have such good results!

Manicure Monday

Manicure Monday

For this week's Manicure Monday I chose NYC New York Colour Expert Last nail polish. The shade I chose was Red Me The News. I really like this nail varnish because it lasts really long and doesn't chip easily which is so great because I find most nail varnishes that say they don't chip actually do, but this one doesn't. The colour is also so chic and the nail polish is so cheap.

Method:
1. File all nails so they're equal length.
2. Apply base coat to prevent discolouring of the nails.
3. Then apply the first coat of polish.
4. Once the first coat is dry apply the second coat.
5. After the second coat has dried apply a clear top coat.

You can get NYC Expert Last Finish "Red Me The News" here:

Celebrity Style Sunday

Celebrity Style Sunday

The world watched when Kate Middleton married Prince William and became the Duchess Of Cambridge. Throughout her relationship with William everyone was fascinated by Kate's flare for fashion and as soon as she wore something the outfit would be sold out within minutes. Not only is she our favourite princess she is a true fashion icon.  There are so many amazing fashion moments from Kate but here are just a few of my favourite ones.

Kate is one of the few icons who recycles outfits this was one of the many that she has repeated. Kate looked the picture of elegance when she wore this cornflower blue coat by Alexander McQueen when she joined the royal family remembering D-Day. She also wore this coat almost a month apart in Blenheim, New Zealand when her and William were on the Royal Tour. You can get Kate's Alexander McQueen coat here:

Kate arrived in New Zealand with Prince William and Prince George in tow to kick start their Royal Tour of Australia and New Zealand. Kate stepped off the plane wearing a bright pillar box red coat by Catherine Walker, who Kate had worn during the 2011 North American Tour which was also red. She accessorized her look with a similar hat by Gina Foster, she completed her look with brown suede pumps and a clutch from Emmy Shoes. You can get a similar black clutch from Debenhams by J by Jasper Conran here:

Continuing their Royal Tour, the Duke and Duchess headed off to a Palm Sunday Church service. Kate wore an aquamarine dress by Emilia Wickstead, Kate loves Wickstead's designs and wears them frequently. She paired her dress with a Jane Taylor hat and Emmy shoes and clutch. (The link for a cheaper and similar bag is in the outfit above.)

Touching down in Sydney, Kate donned a custom sunshine yellow dress by Roksanda Llincic, Kate paired the dress with her L.K Bennett sledge shoes in nude with a straw Natalie clutch bag. You can get a similar peep toe version of Kate's here: you can also get a similar clutch from Oasis here:

In February 2014 Kate attended the National Portrait Gallery's annual Portrait Gala in London. Kate arrived in this stunning ink blue Jenny Packham Autumn Winter 2013 gown which she had worn previously in October 2013 to the 100 Women in Hedge Funds Gala. Kate paired her gown with her Jimmy Choo Cosmic pumps.

Kate wowed in this vibrant blue dress from L.K Bennett on Valentine's Day. The fabulous dress has an interesting neckline, she paired the dress with her black Episode Angel shoes. You can get this amazing dress here:

Kate wore this gorgeous teal Jenny Packham gown to the London Olympic Games Gala back in 2012.  You can get a similar dress in a more emerald colour to Kate's here:

In September 2012 the Duchess of Cambridge attended a dinner and awards ceremony for Tusk Trust, Kate dazzled in one of her favourite designers Jenny Packham. The drop waist gown was figure hugging for Packham's No1 collection for Debenhams. She paired it with Jimmy Choo Vamps in silver. You can get the gold version here:

During the announcement of her engagement to the future King of England in November 2010, Kate wore a sapphire dress to co-ordinate with the ring given to her by Prince William which was designed by Daniella Issa Helayal. The long sleeved, low cut wrap dress is described as one of Issa's "classic silk jersey dresses" which was paired with simple black pumps and of course that amazing ring. The dress became an immediate hit and sold out almost instantly, at the time a poll by MyCelebrityFashion.co.uk ranked the dress as the second most iconic outfit of 2010. You can get a similar and cheaper version to the dress from Diane Von Furstenberg here:

In October 2013 Prince William and Catherine took Prince George to his christening. Kate wore a dress with a ruffled coat over it by Alexander McQueen. She paired the outfit with a cream floral fascinator by Jane Taylor Millinery and her white Russell and Bromley shoes. I absolutely adore this outfit it is one of my all time favourites. To me, Kate just seems to be the epitome of elegance and class. She looks stunning.

Now to the dress we have all been waiting for and my all time favourite Kate Middleton style moment is definitely her wedding dress. This breath taking gown was designed by Sarah Burton by Alexander McQueen and was worn on the 29th of April 2011 when she married her prince charming Prince William. This dress was one of the best kept secrets of 2011 and the designer wasn't even revealed until Kate stepped from her car to enter Westminster Abbey. Replicas of the gown were produced and sold as it was noted for its design, symbolism and influence over brides everywhere. The original dress was displayed at Buckingham Palace from July until October 2011. Kate did an excellent job combining tradition and modernity working closely with Burton. I can't express how much I worship this gown it is just so amazing and is hands down one of my favourite wedding dresses of all time!

That's all folks, hope you enjoyed today's Celebrity Style Saturday!

Fragrance Friday

Fragrance Friday

For this week's Fragrance Friday I chose Sex and The City By Night perfume. I'm new to this scent but I am seriously obsessed with it. This scent is great for night wear, I found the scent is a mixture of vanilla, pomegranate and musk. I love it and got lots of compliments.

I would rate this perfume 5/5 because its a great price, smells amazing and lasts well.

You can buy this perfume here:
