Picking out a Debs dress can be really scary especially if you don't know where to begin. First of all don't panic if you still haven't found the perfect dress yet because loads of my friends didn't decide on their dresses till around July, one of my friends actually picked her dress ten days before our debs! Secondly I do recommend that you buy your dress in a shop rather than online because some of my friends had trouble with their dresses online, some websites can be very good but just be careful for cons because at least in a shop you can physically try it on. This blog post hopefully will help you at least get an idea of what you want. For my debs I got my dress in Elliot Chambers which is in Goats Town in Dublin this shop is fantastic, it has amazing dresses and does the fitting for you too, they order dresses from American designers and only order one of each dress so no one wears the same. I even went to them when it came to a dress for my friends because I loved my own dress so much. I wore a crisp white limited edition Sherri Hill gown with diamontes, I felt so unbelievable in that dress and loads of my friends actually told me they wished they had found it, even in all the group shots the crisp white stood out the most. For my friends debs I actually rented the red dress from Elliot Chambers which they had made themselves.

                   

Coast

   

I think this first dress from Coast is so cute, it's available in this natural colour and a dark blue. If you're looking for something simple and feminine I recommend this dress. It costs £175 and comes in sizes 6-18. This dress will give you an effortless Grecian goddess style and the few crystals just give it that bit of embellishment to make you stand out without being overwhelming. I love this metallic dress it is so well crafted that people wont be able to stop themselves staring at you. It has lace panels and a crafted waist to emphasis a small waist. This beautiful gown is available in sizes 6-18 and costs £350. You can check this gown out here:

This orange-pink maxi has a halter neck with the back exposed giving it an edge. This dress with be perfect for an hourglass shape because it just sweeps against the silhouette. This last dress from Coast is a clean lined sleek choice with the embellished pearls and stones sewn onto the waistband the dress has a cut away at the back adding some drama to the dress. Debenhams

Be sure to make a sparkling statement in this rose gold sequined dress from No.1 by Jenny Packham from Debenhams. This creation will dazzle everyone with it's timeless design. This beautiful dress costs 279 euro and is available in sizes 6-18. You can get this dress here:

This cream sequined dress from Diamond by Julian MacDonald costs 106 euro. It has a mesh outer layer with sequined embellishment all over and a thigh high slit. It's available in sizes 10-18. You can get this elegant ensemble here:

                                    

This Phase Eight gold Luna sequin dress is wow from head to toe with shimmering sequins and a low cut back. This dress fits so elegantly and has a loose soft fish tail hem. Goddiva

                     

 This sequin and chiffon gown from Goddiva is a steal at £55 and is available in a navy colour an an emerald colour. The bodice is fitted and covered in sequins and then flows loosely to the ground. It is available in sizes 10-14. You can get this pretty gown here:

If you were inspired by J-Law at the Oscars then this peplum strapless dress is the one for you. This stunning fitted dress costs £68 and comes in red, navy or blue. You can get it here: in sizes 8-14.

Want to channel Jenny From The Block?? You can be ultra sex appeal in this gorgeous gown which only costs £45, and if whites not your colour you can get it in black, cream or mocha. The scuba fabric keeps you skinny in all the right places and the mesh shows just the right amount of skin. You can be truly Grecian in this white A-Line Once Shoulder dress from Parisbella. This lovely dress costs 119 euro and is made to measure for those of you who are worried about the way average sizes fit.                                   This classic A-line dress is timeless and stunning. The crisp white is beautiful and the

If you want to look like The Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev on the red carpet you can get this similar gown to the one she wore on the Emmy red carpet here: I am in LOVE with this dress, so much so that I wish I could do my debs again so I could wear it. The sweetheart neckline compliments the beautiful mermaid fit. This amazing dress was brought down from 564 euro to 188 euro!

I am in serious fashion envy with whoever ends up with this unbelievable gown. The white lace is so elegant and beautiful with the low cut V neck line and mermaid style fit and the silk belt cinches in the waist of the wearer. Elliott Chambers

Elliott Chambers do this flawless gown from Sherri Hill. It is so stunning in the front it is simple except the neckline has some jewels giving it that bit more glamour and then it is backless with the back of the dress beginning at the bottom of your back which is also covered in jewels. This dress comes in sizes 6- 14 and comes in this beautiful royal red or stunning crisp white. This designer gown costs 450 euro which you can get here:

I absolutely adore this strapless chiffon dress by Shail K. It is so simple and elegant and then has this breathtaking detail around the bodice. It's also great because the bodice is fitted but then past the waist it just falls loosely so you wont feel restricted at all. This amazing gown comes in nude (above) coral, royal blue or a lavender colour so you have a variety of choices to see which one best suits your colouring. This dress is available here: in sizes 6-14 and costs 394 euro.

I love this dress and get a real royal princess vibe off of it so if that is the look you want for your debs I definitely recommend this gown. It has a fitted lined bodice and after the waist is loose and flowy if you don't want to be extremely uncomfortable all night it will be perfect, it also has diamonte on the straps of the dress and at the start of the bodice. Shail K does this movie star one shoulder sequined gown.. It comes in shimmering blush. This beautiful gown is covered in gold sequins and backless. It costs 495 euro and comes in sizes 6-14. You can get it here:

This beautiful red strapless gown is also by Shail K. It has a thigh high slit and comes in this beautiful red. Shail K seems to be the best for the sequined covered gowns they're always so beautiful. It costs 335 euro and is available in sizes 6-14 which you can get here:

This beautiful and sexy gown is by Shail K and has a thigh high slit on the left side. It's strapless and comes in two colours this platinum (above) and ivory both covered in sequins. You can get it here: and it comes in sizes 6-14.

JolieDress

     

This beautiful sweetheart chiffon gown comes in royal blue and has a sweep train. The dress is A line fitted, it comes made to fit you when you give them your measurements. You can get this pretty dress here: for 116 euro.

This A line chiffon gown has a gap in the middle of the chest. The straps are embroidered and the dress comes in an extremely long list of colours. This dress comes for 106 euro which you can get here:

 This gorgeous A line sweetheart gown comes in a variety of colours to match your skin tone but I personally love the lemon. This gown is so sweet and then the silver sequins give it that bit extra. This is also custom made to fit you and costs 109 euro. You can order this gown here:

If you want the princess gown dress style this dress is for you. This dress is fitted at the bodice and then has a tulle skirt. The bodice is covered in diamontes and even some of the skirt is too. I absolutely adore the back of the dress. The fitted mermaid gown comes a variety of colours but I adore the red the dress is fitted to your measurements and costs 106 euro.
