Manicure Monday

Manicure Monday

This week's Manicure Monday is from my St Stephen's Day nail. I went for a shiny pink champagne colour to compliment my dress. I used SoSu by Suzanne Jackson in "Dream Big".

Method:

1. To start, I filed all my nails to make sure they were even and there were no hangnails.
2. After I filed my nails I applied a thing base coat to prevent the polish discolouring my nails.
3. Then I applied the first coat.
4. Once the first coat of polish had dried, I applied the second coat.
5. After both coats had dried completely I then applied the top coat.

Beauty Thursday

Beauty Thursday

This week's Beauty Thursday is a mini haul of some stuff I have bought lately.

First thing I bought was this NYX Matte Finish setting spray. I have used this setting spray a few times now and so far I like it, I've found that it has been keeping my make up in place all night long.

I also purchased my Rimmel Exaggerate lip pencil in the shade "East End Snob." This was a repurchase for me, I just love it and I'm officially obsessed.

Another product I purchased was this Maybelline Colour Elixser in the shade "." I love this product, the colour is just so pretty and it lasts well.

Another repurchase was this Maybelline Colour Drama in the shade "nude perfection." I adore this lip pencil, it's a great colour and it lasts so well, as well as being super pigmented.

I also bought this Maybelline Fit Me foundation in the shade "115." So far I do like the foundation, it isn't one of my favourite's but I do really like it.

I have tried a couple of items from the Natural Collection so I decided to try the mascara. I haven't opened it yet because I'm trying to use up my current mascara but I'll let you know how I like it when I've tried it.

The last item I purchase was Katy Perry's perfume Royal Revolution. I have become obsessed with this fragrance it's so pretty and is a great Summer scent.

When I was in Boots I picked up this manicure set from Sally Hansen.

I also picked up a bottle of nail polish remover because I am running low.

On another outing I couldn't resist myself and decided to buy another SoSu polish, the shade I chose was "dream big" and I'm so excited to try this shade, I love the other two I purchased.

I popped into Debenhams when I was getting my best friend a birthday present a couple of weeks back and I saw they now stock Too Faced!! I just couldn't resist and decided to pick up their "Better Than Sex" mascara, I have heard such amazing things on YouTube about it and I'm super excited. I'm thinking of also doing a review for you guys soon once I have tested it.

That's it for this week's Beauty Thursday, I hope you enjoyed today;s blog!

Manicure Monday

Manicure Monday

Hey everyone, so for this week's Manicure Monday I thought I would do things a little differently. Suzanne Jackson the creator of the blog SoSueMe (if you haven't checked her out you totally should!) recently came out with a brand of gel finish nail polishes. Now as you all know I love my nail polish and I love SoSueMe so I was extremely excited and after I bought two bottles I decided I'd do a review for you all.

With a selection of 25 colours from the SoSu brand you really are spoiled for choice. To start off with a bought "Who's The Boss?"  (pictured above) which is a dark purple colour and "First Date" which is a bright red colour (pictured below.)

After buying the two colours I can honestly say I have full intentions of purchasing them all, it just might take a while because each bottle is 7.99 euro. I usually find no matter what, with most nail polishes after applying a base coat and a top coat my nails always chip within a couple of hours or by the next day, with SoSu polish it didn't chip for a good while, I think I might have gotten a week with no chipping which is honestly a miracle for me.

Overall, I LOVE the SoSu polishes, they have such an array of colours and they miraculously don't chip plus the sleek gel finish is amazing. The only thing was I wish they were like 3 euro because I would own the entire collection by now but really for the quality of polish I don't mind paying 7.99 for them because I have paid more money for a lesser quality before. You can tell Suzanne really went through the trouble of making sure the product was perfect because I have no complaints and with a nail polish that is so rare!

SoSu by Suzanne Jackson gel based polishes are in pharmacies nationwide and also available to purchase in Penney's. You can also purchase them online from McCabes here:

So that's it for this week's Manicure Monday, I hope you enjoyed today's blog!
