Manicure Monday

Manicure Monday

For this week's Manicure Monday I chose to do a bright barbie pink from Attitude, I chose the colour "Bubblegum." I love Attitude as their polish lasts really well without chipping and is super opaque.

Method:

1. File all nails so they're even and there are no hang nails.
2. Apply a base coat to prevent staining the nail.
3. Paint on the first layer of nail varnish.
4. Once the first layer is dry, apply the second layer of polish.
5. After the second layer of polish is dry apply a top coat

Manicure Monday

Hey everyone, sorry I have been unable to post as frequently as I would normally do the last couple of weeks but the week before Christmas I moved house and have had to use my phone's hotspot to upload the blogs that have been posted, hopefully I shall be getting it sorted this week and I will be back to my regular blog posts then. Now that I have that little note out of the way for this week's Manicure Monday I went for this peachy- orange colour from E.L.F the colour is "Party Peach."

Method:
1. File nails so they're all even and there is no hangnails.
2. Apply base coat to prevent discolouring my nails.
3. Once the base coat is dry, apply first layer of polish
4.Once the first coat of polish dries add a second coat.
5. Finally, once the second coat of nail polish is dry you apply a top coat.

You can purchase the set which "Party Peach" belongs to from E.L.F here:

Manicure Monday

For this week's Manicure Monday I decided to show write about the nails that I did for Halloween. I went for a black and gold nail to match my costume which will be shown in this week's What I Wore Wednesday. I used Essence "Black is Back" and 17 "copper" even though it's more of a gold colour.

Method:

1. To begin I filed my nails to stop myself getting any hangnails.
2. I then applied a base coat to prevent discolouring.
3. I then painted all of my nails with the exception of my ring fingers with the black polish.
4. Once the first coat of black was dry, I applied a second coat.
5. Once the other nails had dried, I then applied the gold polish to my two ring fingers.
6. After the first coat of gold polish dried, I painted on a second.
7. Once all of the nails were dry, I applied a top coat to prevent chipping.

You can purchase 17 fast finish polish in "copper" here:

Manicure Monday

For this week's Manicure Monday I thought I would show you a Halloween inspired nail. I went for a relatively simple nail, using an orange background and then on my ring fingers I drew the outline of a pumpkin. For the orange I used Essence's "Flashy Pumpkin" (what could be more Halloween!), the black was "Black is Back" also by Essence and I used E.LF's "Teal Bule" for the stem of the pumpkin.

Method:
                                                                                                                             (step 3)
1. To begin, I filed my nails so they were even and that there were no hang nails.
2. I applied a base coat to prevent discolouring.
3. I painted the first coat of "flashy pumpkin" on all of my nails.
4. Once the first coat was dry, I applied a second coat of "flashy pumpkin."
5. After the second coat dried, using a thin nail brush I drew the outline of a pumpkin on my ring fingers (think of doing two c's facing each other.) with "black is back."
6. Once the outline had tried, I got another thin nail brush and drew a small green stalk on top of the pumpkin using "teal bule."
7. Once the ring fingers were both completely dry, I applied a top coat.

(step 5)
                 (step 6)

Manicure Monday

Manicure Monday

This week's Manicure Monday is an updated post dedicated to my storage for all my nail polishes and manicure products. I have an Alex drawer from Ikea which I store all my make up products in (there will be an updated post on my make up storage soon too.) Anyway I use the third drawer for all my manicure needs.

The drawer itself stores my all my nail products as well as all of my perfumes. I have two of the little plastic drawers from my old storage in the drawer that house the different parts.

In the back of the drawer I have a manicure set and I have some fragranced lotions and my perfumes surround the two plastic drawers.

The first plastic drawer which I keep more towards the back of the actual drawer stores all my manicure necessities. In it I have all of my nail files, hand lotions, nail scissors and more.

In front of that I have the second plastic drawer which stores all my nail polishes, as you can see that is quite crammed that I should probably figure out a different way of storing them but for now I'll keep them that way until I think of something.

That's it for this week's Manicure Monday, I hope you enjoyed today's blog!
