Beauty Thursday

Beauty Thursday

This week's Beauty Thursday is dedicated to my review of the November Glossybox. I was quite impressed with this month's box, they've really picked themselves back up lately!

Ruby Tapered Blending Brush

The first item in this month's box was this full sized blending brush, worth €8. I'd never heard of the Ruby brand but I must say I'm quite impressed, the brush did a great job at blending the shadow and is super soft.

111Skin Biocellulose Face Mask

This sheet mask is worth £20 and encourages collagen stimulation. I haven't tried this yet as my face hasn't reacted well to previous sheet masks.

Kiss Looks So Natural Lashes

This month was full of full size products with these false lashes worth £4.95. They're pretty lashes and don't look overly fake.

Wilkinson Quattro Disposable Razors

This pack of three is worth £5.69 and honestly I wish these had arrived a week earlier as I only just bought a multipack of razors! Wilkinsons are probably one of my go to brands for razors.

De Bruyere Beaute Jumbo Eye Pencil

The last item in this month's box was this jumbo eye pencil in the shade "Bubble 07." It's worth €15 and is a pretty khaki grey colour. The cool tone shade is perfect for a smokey eye and the pencil is easily blended.

Beauty Thursday

Beauty Thursday

This week's Beauty Thursday is dedicated to my review of the October Glossybox. So after last month's wonderful box my hopes for Glossybox had returned and the fact that Youtuber Estee Lalonde helped pick out this box I was really excited however, I have to admit I was a little disappointed. To be honest, if the November and December boxes are disappointing I will probably be cancelling my subscription after that.

Trifle Cosmetics Lip Parfait

So the first product this month was this full size buttery lip cream worth £12.95. Okay so the feeling of the lipstick is nice it's super soft and glides onto the lips really easy however, the peachy nude shade looks absolutely ridiculous on me and to be honest I would be intrigued to find out if it was flattering on anyone.

PS Pro Longwear Lip Liner

This next product was probably my favourite this month and it was another full size worth £3. The felt tip style is a new thing for me when it comes to lip liners but it worked well. It was pigmented and lasted a long time. The photos make it appear more brown but it's more of a mauve purple colour in real life and it's quite pretty.

Bee Good Honey & Camelina Facial Exfoliator

Next up is exfoliator mask which is also a full size worth £10.50. I think it was a nice and gentle exfoliator on my skin however, I couldn't get passed the smell of lavender in fact when I opened the box I could smell the lavender it was that overwhelming.

New Beauty Shampoo

We also received this sample size of a mystery shampoo. I really liked the smell of this it was sweet and fruity, possibly mango but I'm not entirely sure.

Rituals Magic Touch Body Cream

Next up, I tried this sample size cream worth £6. So I did quite like this cream it was rich and nourishing on my dry skin and my sensitive skin didn't react to it. Honestly it smells just like the Astral cream.

Universal Beauty Secret Flush Cream Blush & Lip Stain Duo

The last product we received this month was this duo in the shade "04 Nectar." This full size product is worth £15 and the pinky shade was pretty but I'm just not a fan of these duo products I have so many of these from previous subscription boxes and I just never use them.

Beauty Thursday

Beauty Thursday

This week's Beauty Thursday is dedicated to my review of the September Glossybox. First off the box design this month is gorgeous I love the red for a nice change and it's so sleek, and the box overall was probably my favourite in a long time, now that's out of the way let's get in to the products!

Rodial Smokey Eye Pen

First up is this full size gel liner pen from Rodial worth £17. I was quite happy to receive another liner as a girl can never have too many black liners and I'm running low on my current pencil. I do like this pencil it's very pigmented, I do have liners that are more of an intense black but I can't wear those liners when I have contacts in but this was still quite pigmented and was compatible with my contacts.

The Organic Pharmacy Antioxident Lip Balm

We also received this full sized lip balm worth £12. You can use on its own or on top of lipstick. This smells so nice and felt super soft on the lips, I could smell the shea butter and I also thought I could smell and taste honey but I could be wrong.

Vitamasques Hydro Face Mask

Another full size product was this Hydro Face Mask which apparently provides 120 hours of hydration worth £7.99. This is another one to add to the sheet mask trend but I'm quite excited to give it a go, my skin could use a bit of hydration.

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara

So as soon as I found out we were getting a sample of the Better Than Sex mascara I was super excited as it is one of my favourites! A full size is worth £19, I'm waiting to get through a couple mascaras to see if I like them as I have far too many in my collection at the moment (*spoiler alert: mascara collection post is coming soon!) before I open this one because I know if they're all terrible I can throw them away and I'll still have this baby. I did a full review of this mascara before which you can check it out here:

Catrice Volumizing Lip Booster

The last product this month was this full size Lip Booster gloss from Catrice 3.95. This claims to plump your lips while still nourishing them. Honestly I didn't see much of an effect, I could feel the mint, tingling feeling from the gloss but it wouldn't be strong enough for anyone who is nervous about that type of feeling. My lips looked super glossy and it was a pretty colour without being too pigmented but I don't think it had an overwhelming plump effect it was more they looked glossy but I still quite liked the product.

The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal

Finally, we received a little bonus product of this sample sized charcoal mask. A full size is worth £15 and it's aim is to purify the skin so I assume it's going to remove all the toxins with the charcoal. I did this mask one day and applied the hydrating one the next night. I really liked how clean and healthy my skin looked after the mask though it did sting for a few minutes while it was on.

So the full size products alone brought the value of the box up to £41 and that's excluding all the sample sizes. If you want to subscribe to Glossybox, you can do so here:

Beauty Thursday

Beauty Thursday

This week's Beauty Thursday is dedicated to my review of the August Glossybox. The box this month was super adorable and I was happy overall with the products inside.

Mudmasky Facial Detox Purifying Mask

The first item we received this month was this sample size purifying mud mask, the full size is worth £53 so it would definitely want to work! The mask claims to detox the skin, it refines and tightens pores while hydrating, smooth and brighten skin. It doesn't smell the best but I liked the look of my skin when I used the mask.

Cow Shed Body Lotion

One product we received this month was this sample of body lotion from Cow Shed. I was impressed with the amount of product we got for a sample size and it made my skin feel hydrated and soft however, I couldn't get passed the smell and normally scents don't really bother me.

RAE Feather mini monogram pochette

This was a full sized pochette worth £20.  The pochette is adorable and will be a perfect for my make up bag in my hand bag.

Spa to You Deep Pore Facial Cleansing Brush

Another full size product this month was this mechanical facial cleansing brush worth £6.99. This is like a Clarisonic except instead of it using battery you rotate the brush yourself into your skin. You simply wet the brush and apply your normal cleanser.

MUA Eye Shadow Palette

Lastly, we received this full sized eye shadow from MUA worth £4. We have received an MUA product from Glossybox before so I was really excited about this and unsurprisingly it didn't disappoint! I was so impressed with the swatches of the eye shadows, honestly the photo doesn't do it justice, they were packed with pigment and glitter as well as feeling nice and creamy. The only shade which had a bit of fallout was the black one but if I'm ever doing a glittery or dramatic look I tend to do the eyes first so it wouldn't be a problem for me. I do not understand how this is only £4!

Beauty Thursday

Beauty Thursday

This week's Beauty Thursday is dedicated to my review of the July Glossybox! Spoiler alert; this may be my favourite box by Glossybox ever, the products were great this month and four were full size with a good sized sample size for the fifth product.

Hairon Detangle Brush

So this product was obviously a full size and first off how cute is the colour?! I already own a Tangle Teaser but I've had to use a special brush since getting extensions however, I did give this brush a go and it was great with my hair dry, it still worked with my prebonds wet but I was a little scared it would pull out the extension. This detangling brush is also smaller than the Tangle Teaser so I feel like it'll also be great to bring in your purse and have on the go. This full size was worth £6.99 and if you use the code Glossy before the 30th of August you can get 30% off!

UTan and Tone Nourishing Night Cream

So this next item is a sample size and a full size is worth £12.50. The packaging on this product is super pretty and looks quite luxurious to say it costs £12.50. Basically this is a nourishing night cream that also has gradual tanner that is safe to use on your face and it won't stain your pillow or leave you to wake up to a biscuit smell in the morning. The brand also says the product is paraben free, lanolin free and don't test on animals which is a bonus! Start at the centre of your face and use outwards and nstrokes to apply evenly, and wash hands after use. I must say the smell is really nice, I absolutely loved the finished product, I woke up to a natural looking tan on my face and there was no mess on my pillow or tan smell.

Hawaiian Tropic Island Berry Lip Gloss

So not entirely sure what is going on with Hawaiian Tropic and Glossybox lately but we received another product from them this month, this time a lip gloss and I had no idea they did lip gloss! First off it has SPF25 which is so great and it's another full size product worth £6.99. The pink colour is really pretty and the smell is super sweet.

Icona Milano Emotion Allowed Mascara

Again we got another full size (yay) of this mascara from Icona Milano and it's worth £13.04. So I have quite a few mascaras which I am currently making my way through so I'm not opening this one yet, but if it's any good I will definitely update you guys! The bonus is it's water, sweat and humidity resistant so will be perfect if you want to wear a bit of mascara to the beach or pool.

Blank Canvas F20 Flat Brush

Okay so not going to lie when I saw this on the sneak peak I was so unbelievably excited and to me this product alone makes this month's box so worth it but the last product we received was this F20 pink brush from Blank Canvas and I am absolutely in love! I've used this with two different foundations and a BB cream and it's given a flawless finish on all of them. This full size brush was worth £11.95. Also if you use the code BLANKCANVASGB before the 31st of July, you can get 30% off!

Beauty Thursday

Beauty Thursday

This week's Beauty Thursday is dedicated to my review of this month's Glossybox. I was really impressed with the size of the products in this month's box so good job Glossybox!

Spa to You Konjac Sponge

This was a full size product worth $6.99 and is a cleansing trend from Japan and Korea. You soak it in warm water, squeeze the excess and then massage into the skin using circular motions. This is great for gently exfoliating the skin while still giving the skin a deep clean.

StarSkin Eye Catcher Eye Mask

I haven't tried these out but I am excited to do so as I've read great things about the eye masks and I've tried StarSkin masks before and they made my skin feel so nice! This was another full size worth £8.50.

De Bruyere After Sun Lotion

This would have been so helpful two weeks ago! The smell of this is absolutely heavenly, it's sweet and vanilla. A full size if worth £9.48 and is enruched with Monoi and vitamin E helping to nourish, hydrate and calm the skin. I can not wait to use this properly!

Ladival Sun Protection SPF 15 Spray

Here is another full size product worth £19.99 and is actually great for people with eczema or sensitive skin. It has a handy spray nozzle which is also a bonus. This had a nice sun screen smell and isn't overwhelmingly sticky on the skin, it absorbs quite well.

Emite Make Up Lip & Cheek Tint

We got yet another full size product worth £12.50. This lip and cheek tint is actually really pigmented and with the size of the product it will last you a long time. You simply apply a few dots to your cheeks and blend or use the applicator for your lips.

Aussie Hair Care 3 Minute Miracle Deep Conditioner

The last item in this month's box was a bonus item. We received this 3 minute treatment and I was delighted as I love Aussie hair care. After using the mask my hair felt super soft and healthy.
