Beauty Thursday

Beauty Thursday

For this week's Beauty Thursday I thought I would do a bit of a different post, with all the new products that have come out lately I have picked the five products which I am dying to try. I read so many reviews on so many products when they come out and even after, not just blogger reviews but normal customer ones too when deciding what I will buy when I have the money to spend it, so I thought each month or even every second month I would pick 5 products which I am absolutely dying to try and let you know why and then whenever I eventually get to pick them up I can update you on how I got on!

Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics Palette

The first item I absolutely dying to try is the new Basics palette from Urban Decay. To be honest my first response when Urban Decay release new products is normally "Ohh I want" and then whenever it is Naked related it becomes an "Oh my days I NEED!" As you most likely know for each Naked palette they've released, Urban Decay have then gone and released a Basics palette which is a smaller and cheaper version with the most important shadows from their originals to create a look, this new ultimate palette saves you buying all three basics and as result gives you the same shadows as a big full sized bad boy Naked palette. This palette has 12 matte shades so you can make a pinky look, a neutrals or a warm tone look with this palette, they really listened to what the customer wanted and that is why I love Urban Decay. I believe this will be selling for €47, I've seen so many beautiful tutorials using this palette and all the images of swatches look incredible I'm so, so excited to try it!

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick

The second product which is one my "Must Try" list is the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick. I'm dying to try loads of the shades but I feel like the infamous "Lolita" is a must. I know what you are thinking Kat Von D aren't new, well my dear readers they're new to Ireland and we can now purchase the Kat Von D line either in Debenhams stores or online. I have been wanting to get my hands on these liquid lipsticks since I saw my first lip swatch video of them on ShaaanXo. I do plan on collecting a good few of the shades over time but I think if I can get my hands on one to begin with I will be doing well. So many people adore these liquid lipsticks the colour range is so, so vast and the pigmentation is excellent so they definitely deserve a place on the list.

James Read Express Bronzing Mousse

A few month's ago, Pippa O' Connor was talking about what tan she uses and it was this James Read Express Bronzing mousse worth €40. Pippa always has such a gorgeous tan, she manages to look dark but never look orange and from the reviews I have read online others have gotten the same results so I want to see if I will love it too. At the time Pippa had applied it before bed and had let it develop overnight but if you're in a hurry the tan claims that leaving it on for 1 hour will leave you with a light glow, 2 hours gives you a medium looking tan and then 3 hours gives you a deeper shade but it stops developing after the 3 hours so if you do leave it overnight you won't wake up an oompa loompa. I will say that if you do try the tan definitely use a mitt as some people have trouble with getting it even during the application process but I usually tend to use a mitt anyway.

Make Up Academy Luxe Power Brow Sculpt

Another product which I really want to try is this Luxe Brow Sculpting gel that costs £4. I've seen some good reviews for this product and it looks like a nice cheaper alternative to the Anastasia Beverly Hills dip-brow. It comes in a range of 6 shades and I know the Anastasia dip brow and products like it dry out quite quickly because of the formula in it so you wouldn't be as annoyed when it dries out if you only spent £4 and I think it would be an interesting product to try.

Lancome Grandoise Eye Liner

The last item for this post in which I am dying to try is the Lancome Grandoise liner. I think I first saw Hannah Renee talking about this and have seen a lot of reviews about it since. First off the packaging is beautiful and it comes in a range of three colours; black, blue and brown costing €29. Due to the pivot of the wand, it is supposedly easier to get closer to the lash line and the inner corner as well as being better to get the perfect flick. It also looks quite pigmented from what I've seen in the tutorials and reviews.

So that's it for this week's Beauty Thursday, I hope you enjoyed today's blog! Let me know what products you guys want to try most!

Beauty Thursday- AA Skincare Essentials Collection

Beauty Thursday

For this week's Beauty Thursday, I was recently sent a Refreshing Eye Gel from the brand AA Skincare Essentials to review for you guys. Once again, I must stress all of the opinions expressed are my own. AA Skincare have many years experience in aromatherapy and natural skincare, and create  naturally effective products for your skin whilst still being affordable.

I received this eye Seaweed and Aloe Refreshing eye gel two weeks ago and have gotten to test it a good few times now. First off, I love how cute and handy the packaging is, I love products that have pumps because it's so much more hygienic than the jars or pots and it's a good size that you are getting value for your money but you can also fit for travel. The Refreshing Eye Gel has multi purposes; it can safely remove eye make up, soothes tired eyes and can also help cool the skin after the sun.

As you all know by now I have sensitive skin so before I placed the product near my eyes I rubbed it in the back of my hand and had no reaction so I tested it on my eye's. Thankfully the few times I've been using it I have really liked it.

The gel is thin and when I applied it, it felt really light and I got a tingling sensation on my face. It instantly absorbs into the skin and then gives a firming sensation making my skin feel refreshed and alive. When you apply it as a cooling gel you just lightly dab and rub into the area around your eyes.

If you are using it as a make up remover, you just apply one pump onto a cotton pad and remove your make up. I was really surprised at how easy it was to remove my make up, I didn't have to rub very hard to remove my eye make up which I sometimes need to with other make up removers.

Pros:
- The packaging is adorable and having a pump is so handy!
- It does a great job of waking up my eyes and face no matter how tired I was and it also removed my eye make up with ease!
-It's super affordable
-It's multipurpose, who doesn't love multipurpose things?!

Cons:
- When I used it to remove my face make up other than eyes I felt greasy for about 15 minutes afterwards

Overall I really enjoyed using this product and would definitely recommend it! It did a great job at removing my eye make up and it was a miracle when I didn't have much sleep and had a tired looking face.

The Seaweed and Aloe Refreshing Eye Gel costs £6.96 and you can purchase it here:

Beauty Buy Of The Week

So due to the fact that I just had to get a new one because my old one ran out, this week's Beauty Buy Of The Week is Urban Decay's original Naked palette. I LOVE this palette, Urban Decay seriously do the best eye shadow palettes. The pigmentation is amazing and you can make so many different looks with the one palette.

Beauty Buy Of The Week

This week's Beauty Buy Of The Week is Le Roche Posay Thermal Spring Water for sensitive skin. I got this as part of a gift a little while ago and I have to admit I was very skeptic, why would someone buy a can of water?  But I can honestly say I have been converted.

As you guys know my skin can be super sensitive and just reacts to absolutely everything, so a few days ago it was having a little fit and was burning and red so I figured why not try it. I spritzed it twice on my face and it was actually really soothing. My face calmed right down within minutes, there was no redness and the burning sensation went away. It also felt really refreshing without leaving my face dripping wet.

I read somewhere that you can use it as a setting spray for make up but that didn't quite work for me and also be warned the mist comes out easily so you don't need to much pressure on the nozzle.

For those of you guys with sensitive skin like myself you can purchase Le Roche Posay Thermal Spring Water for Sensitive skin here:

Beauty Buy Of The Week

Beauty Buy Of The Week

This week's Beauty Buy Of The Week is Benefit Cosmetics "Gimme Brow" brow volumizing fiber gel. As you guys have probably guessed by now I am obsessed with Benefit's products so I was really excited when I saw this product, the brush is quite like a mascara wand and I hadn't tried anything like this product before I've only really tried brow pencils or the powders.

I found this product great because even though I have blonde hair I have dark eyes and brows with a mix of blonde hairs in them, which makes my brows really annoying to deal with it. I really liked the Gimme Brow gel because it didn't appear too dark it just made the blonde hairs blend into the brown ones better.

If you want to purchase Benefit Cosmetics "Gimme Brows" you can buy it here:

Beauty Buy Of The Week

Beauty Buy of The Week

This week's Beauty Buy Of The Week is Lancome's Photogenic Lumessence foundation. I used to steal this from my mum all the time whenever I went out that eventually she got fed up so bought me my own bottle. I love this foundation because at the end of a night out all my friends foundation would be completely off their face but when I wore this mine was still perfect!

I seriously love this foundation so much, because it's expensive I would only use it if I was going on a night out but I am obsessed and all my friends are so jealous that make up will still look the exact same after a night of dancing. I found Lancome's Photogenic Lumessence great because it doesn't feel heavy or look it or like I am wearing any and it doesn't look cakey at all, although I've never left it for 24hours I'm pretty sure it would stay because whenever I return from a night out it's a real job trying to get off! Plus my skin feels silky smooth!

Beauty Buy Of The Week

Beauty Buy Of The Week

This week's Beauty Buy Of The Week is this hand cream from Ziaja. The hand cream is a cashmere protein shea butter, it moisturizes and soothes dry and chapped skin while restoring skin elasticity and smoothness. I have to say I am loving this hand cream, because I have three horses my hands go through a lot of wear and tear. From filling haynets to getting blisters and chapped skin from my reins I really put them through a lot, and as a result I have the hands of a much older person. Thankfully this cream has turned back time and made my hands soft again. They smell amazing too, the cashmere scent is heavenly! I find myself constantly applying the cream and don't know how I lived without it!

Also to people with sensitive skin don't worry! As I have said before I have a very sensitive skin that reacts a lot to products but it didn't react to the Ziaja hand cream.

You can purchase Ziaja hand cream with cashmere proteins and shea butter here:

Beauty Buy Of The Week

This week's Beauty Buy Of The Week is my absolute favourite mascara of all the ones I have tried, Benefit's They're Real mascara. A couple of months ago I bought the small bottle to try it out and became obsessed! I recently got the bigger version for my birthday because I love it so much. It's so great because it gives you such amazing lashes without having to wear fake ones. With the emphasis on your eyes fake lashes give you with out looking over-the-top drag queeny.

This week's Beauty Buy Of The Week is Rimmel London's Wake Me Up foundation. I got the shade ivory because normally that is the shade that I would wear with foundations, this one seemed a little dark but on a night out when I had fake tan on it was perfect.  I really liked it because it didn't annoy my skin which can be very sensitive and it smells nice which I have never noticed about a foundation before. It doesn't have a great lasting power which can be kind of annoying but the it looked really natural and pretty when it was on.

I would definitely recommend this product for a night time foundation because it is so nice but due to the lasting power I wouldn't recommend it for the day.

Beauty Buy Of The Week

Beauty Buy Of The Week

My Beauty Buy Of The Week this week is this great detangling spray called Fassile Vapo. When I was in getting my hair done the other week I was giving out about how thick and knotty my hair is and she recommended this. Seeing as I was out of my Uniq 1 spray (which I also love by the way) I decided to give it a try and so far I am loving the results. Between the Fassile Vapo spray and the tangle teaser my hair has never been so easy to manage!

If you want to try out a bottle for yourself you can order some here: for 11.56 euro.

Hope you enjoyed today's blog!

Beauty Buy Of The Week

Beauty Buy Of The Week

My Beauty Buy Of The Week is Salon Elite's Tangle Teezer. I had heard great things about this product for ages but hadn't gotten around to actually getting it and then I just decided to bite the bullet and purchase it, now I have no idea how I brushed my hair without it. I LOVE this little gadget, I have really thick wavy hair and when I get out of the shower I find it so hard (and painful) trying to brush it afterwards and use about half of a bottle of detangling spray on my hair and then my hair dresser told me that she uses it and it really does work. It's so amazing and for those of you with extensions one of my best friend uses it on her hair and is obsessed with it too. I still use my detangling spray, I was told I wouldn't have to but I'm a real creature of habit!

I would definitely rate this a 5/5 because it is amazing not having pain while brushing my hair and it also comes in a variety of colours and is a great size to fit in your hand or in your bag.

Beauty Buy Of The Week

Beauty Buy Of The Week

A new blog post which I am starting is my beauty buy of the week where I will post great                                                       buys that I have found every week.

For this week's Beauty Buy Of The Week I chose my new foundation brush from The Body Collection. I found this brush great it is so unbelievably cheap at a price of £2.49 and applies my foundation perfectly. It's so soft on your skin and is the perfect size to travel with you. I also found it great because it doesn't shed all over your face. I LOVE this product and will definitely continue using it and buy it again.

I rate this 5/5 and would definitely recommend it to all of my friends.
