Beauty Thursday

Beauty Thursday

For this week's Beauty Thursday I am going to show you guys how to clean your make up brushes. Washing your make up brushes should be part of your regular beauty routine, even though it doesn't seem  that important it should be a necessity. When you use your brushes, bits of dirt and make up, even bacteria can get trapped in the bristle of the brushes. Not cleaning your brushes can lead to breakouts and clogged pores and the quality of the brush can deteriorate.

The first step is to pick up a daily brush cleaner and spray it on your brushes after each time you use them. I use elf studio daily brush cleaner.

Once a week, I recommend doing a deep cleaning. Remember that the brushes will take a few hours to dry so if you plan on wearing make up that day, apply that first.

1. To begin run your brushes under lukewarm water, rinsing off the residual make up.

2. Fill a bowl with lukewarm water and a squirt of your make up shampoo, gently swirl the tip of your brush in the water. The shampoo I use is Natures Curve cosmetic brush cleaner.

3. Rinse the brush under running water again and repeat steps two and three until the water from the brush is clear.

4. Use a towel to wipe your brush clean and reshape the bristles.  Lay your brushes flat on a cloth to dry.

You can purchase Nature's Curve cosmetic brush cleaner here:

That's it for today folks, hope you enjoyed today's blog!
